BEST TRIMMER FOR RAGDOLLS!
I donât write a lot of reviews bc I buy too much stuff & Iâm lazy.BUT THIS!! THIS THING IS AMAZING!! Iâve always used repurposed âpeopleâ clippers. The one I had blew apart yesterday, so I found myself here.I have a 12yo ragdoll. LONG LONG HAIR, but silky. Luckily she has the temperament to allow me to shave her myself, since I donât want to pay $100 to have her groomed. Sheâs pretty chill, butâ¦THIS WAS BY FAR THE EASIEST SHAVE EVER. It came fully charged but I left it on the charger for an hour to be sure. Took me about 50 min to shave her down to the lion cut. Pretty quiet (quieter than my Wahl for humans-) but it being cordless was clutch!! Shaved down to the velveteen SO easy. The battery still says 100%. She hates having her bottom shaved & I donât think she really noticed where I was at bc itâs so gentle. Hardly have to press down for it to get underneath her coat. She hates âthe boots with the fur,â but even that was easy. Cut through her 3â mane like butter. She had a few tiny mats, but it cut under them like nothing else. The only things I didnât love were:1) I tried with the shortest guard (3mm) at first out of caution. Her hair kept getting stuck in it, so I took it off & just went for it. Not sure if it just needs to fit tighter or what but that didnât work for me.2) Iâd rather they put the power/speed buttons on the other side. I kept accidentally turning it off as I was trying to manipulate her body. But that could just be me & the way I hold it.Neither of those things would stop me from buying this. IT TURNED WHAT IS A HUGE HASSLE THAT I DREAD INTO AN EASY TASK!! So easy that Iâll maintain her summer âdo, rather than waiting (ok avoiding) to do it when sheâs fully grown out again. As for Frankie, I think sheâd give it 5 stars too. She usually piddles when sheâs âover itâ but not this time. Like I said, sheâs chill, but this didnât bother her at all! She was more upset being trapped in the bathroom than me shaving her. It didnât nip her AT ALL & she looks like she had a professional cut.BUY THIS. It might be harder with a coarse coat but for her long & silky coat, itâs purrrfect.

Excellent
My cat is old and grumpy and prone to matting. He doesn’t let me brush him he’s so opposed to grooming. This worked perfectly. I used it without the guard and it didn’t even nick him. It was quiet as promised. I would highly recommend. And the battery lasts forever on this thing.

Worked Great. Long lasting charge
My cat is EXTREMELY skittish and I was able to give her a haircut several times now. Thereâs a nice variety of clips and the scissors are extremely sharp and good quality. The clippers are fairly quiet. I turned them on at a distance, and then walked towards her as to not make her jump, she tolerated the haircut much better than I expected and it was less traumatic for her than going to a groomer. I have not needed to charge the clippers as of yet because the charge lasts a long time. My only complaint is the position of the power button. The way I hold the clippers my thumb seems to hit it every time so as Iâm clipping her I accidentally shut it off. That is one little design flaw.

Wonderful for my long haired cat w mats!
It makes some noise, but it’s quiet enough not to spook either of my cats. I bought it for my long haired cat who has mats. It goes through small mats so quickly! For big mats, it takes a little work but still doesn’t make my cat very uncomfortable. With other methods, my cat would get very upset since her skin was being tugged. She would bite so I had to put her in an ecollar to even work on a mat for 15 seconds. With these clippers, I’m able to work on multiple mats with no need for a collar! For a big mat, it takes a little bit of work but even then my cat tolerates it. (I wasn’t even using the combs on the end.) I’m so happy to have found a way to deal with her mats in an easy way that doesn’t hurt her. Next up is some grooming underneath tail and chin so she doesn’t get messy when food is coming in or going out.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS for my cat!!!
I am not paid or given any promofor this review. No one sent me a card with âhey, if you leave a 5-star review Iâll give you a product freeâ (which has happened, so all reviews are not legit on all items sold but this one is!)I tried many many products for my cat. Iâd tried âhumanâ clippers and that was a nightmare. I have a number of grooming tools like the comb with the razors, numerous scissors that cut fine fur with ease. But none of them can stop the pulling, and thatâs what gets teeth in my hand because pulling on a mat HURTS the cat.I was thinking she was going to have to get a mobile groomer or get some light sedation at the vet .. How on earth was I going to get these mats out of her fur?I had purchased a large grooming tool likethis years back for a dog and it was two and a half times the price. It worked great, but I wasnât sure that 39 bucks was going to be enough. But it is. Itâs incredible. It does make noise, of course, but my cat doesnât run screaming. Of course a real anxious animal may not put up with it but this thing works great. She literally didnât even get out of the bed when I shaved off a mat under her arm pit this morning. She wagged her tail with a âIâm trying to sleepâ warning, but literally didnât even get out of her bed. This poor cat has such crazy layers of fur and such soft, fine fur in there that just gets matted despite her loving being brushed. And once a mat starts, she wonât let me touch it without biting or clawing. And I donât push it because I donât want to hurt her.I was really worried that this was going to pull her fur but it doesnât! It almost melts off. Itâs like watching folks shear a sheep. Itâs actually a little bit too much fun.Now I did it in stages so as not to overwhelm her. She had some thick mats on the back of her legs where her underfluffies are long and thick. It just feels like felt underthere. Literally I couldnât even touch them before without her turning to give a warning bite. But now that theyâve been off for a couple of days I can literally pet the back of her legs and she is fine with it. I think she was just so sore.Poor little thing I just kept finding more and more little mats hidden under her long fur. Itâs as soft as a baby unicorn, so fine and magnificent. But wow is that problematic.Anyway Iâm super psyched about this find. And it came with a charge so I literally just turned it on with the blade thatwas attached and went to town. Iâm saving some of the really crazy mats to mail to my kid (my catâs co-parent) at college because you have to feel it to believe it. My cat is soooooooo much happier! Although she did give me a small bite when I trimmed her nails tonight (not with this kit) but she has to keep her game strong somehow!!Photos of her with her new friend, then if you can see a shaved spot under her arm and then from the back of her upper leg where she had super long fur and a felt-like mat in there. It was just so easy to get these shaved off. I still canât believe all of the torment I put her through trying to use tiny scissors etc. I was always scared Iâd cut her with those. Now I donât have to worry â¤ï¸Even if these donât last long (which I hope they will) itâs still cheaper than a groomer (although they probably make it look much nicer ð. Iâm just trying to help my cat, not get her a modeling contract).Get these for your meow!!

Our kitty had a couple nasty clumps of fur that would not un-clump and we got the clippers to shave them off so she’d be more comfortable. These are well made, quiet clippers that do their job flawlessly! Our fur baby didn’t complain once! As a cat dad who shaves his head regularly, I’ve had a lot of bad luck with hair clippers. I thought I’d try these on my hair and they are the best clippers I’ve ever used (better than clippers over twice their price). I’m so happy I bought these clippers because the whole family can use them! Also, they really hold a charge! I’ve used them multiple times already and have yet to charge them. These things are awesome!

quickly removes knots and being so quiet doesnt affect the cats nearly as much. being rechargeable means no more batteries

My husband thought it was just as noisy as our regular corded one until he tried both at the same time. It’s substantially quieter, smaller and the vibration isn’t as harsh. Our senior kitty who has never been “groomed” before put up with it ok with a churru as a distraction. We were able to shave the back half of her in one go and her tummy a few days later. It’s a bit of a learning curve but it seems next to impossible to injure the cat with this shaver and it did cut through her super soft undercoat, although not with any of the spacer things. So it was all off or nothing. I would have liked to leave her a bit of fuzz, but it’s better than the mats we couldn’t seem to get under control.

These clippers went through my Ragdolls matted/pelted fur fairly easily with no nics BUT will need frequent breaks, or a second set of clippers, as the clippers get too hot after 15 minutes of use. Holds a charge well, the sound is doable and my cat tolerated the clippers.
