I have nails that are thinnest tissue paper – and unless I’m gonna get them done with a gel or an acrylic coating – I might as well not have any fingernails at all. They just break, crack, split, and just generally look like I don’t care. The fact of the matter is I do care about my hands and the way they look. I don’t have to look fancy, but I do like to look maintained.I read an article about something called a Japanese manicure. When I went to the salon to ask about a Japanese manicure – the little Vietnamese lady just shrugged and said, she knew. So I went online and did a little more digging to learn about a Japanese manicure. Then I came to Amazon to see what products they had. That could help me towards getting nicer, looking nails using a Japanese manicure. This is what I stumbled on. I made the purchase. I have been happily using this product for a very long time. This particular order was a gift for a friend who has nails very similar to mine, being she’s in the beauty business, and her hands are always in chemicals, I got her this product as a giftI hope she likes it as much as I like mine. If you follow the instructions, it’s very easy to use and to do. And I love it. I did not expect that my nails would get as strong as they have. I’m not putting any chemicals on them. But I am paying attention to them in a way that I probably never paid attention to them before and I’m keeping them filed and buffed and cuticles oiled and moisturized. Except for the first few weeks, you don’t have to do something to your nails every single day. I’m at the point now or once a week , I make it a point to sit down when I watch a particular TV show on Friday evenings and that’s when I do my maintenance with the product on my nails. I can actually go for two weeks or more without really having to watch my nails closely. And believe me, if I go a little too long, my nails, do crack if I bump them into something. Then I have to tidy them up and start the process all over my weekly routine.What I like is that I don’t spend hours in the salon getting nails done that only last me two weeks. I’m not constantly with my hands and UV dryers or getting chemicals put on them. And it’s a whole lot less expensive than buying this set once and it lasts months.Call me surprised! Call me pleased! And call me saving money I love all three of those try it I think you’ll love it! Oh, and if you do wanna polish, your own nails, just scuff the tops of your nails, a little bit, apply your favorite polish And go to whatever party or event that you’re going to. And in a day or two later when you want to take the polish off do it and just make sure your nails are filed buffed and your cuticles oiled and you’ll pick up right where you left off. Great product and I love it.

I had this same kit over 10 years ago so you know it works
I have weak nails. Anytime they go above my fingertips they break, or I got a nick in them, or they tear. Especially now with COVID, I’m constantly washing my hands causing my skin and nails to become dehydrated.I often get a gel manicure because it helps keep them strong (or at least the appearance of them being strong). I’ve never soaked off the polish though. It always seems to peel off within a couple of weeks, and whatever doesn’t peel off, I chip away with my other nails. Doing that is really bad and results in my nails being uneven, brittle, and dry.I was on Amazon looking in depth for a nail polish or some type of treatment that would be good for my nails. I don’t always like using clear nail polish or anything that’s going to create an actual coat, because eventually that starts to peel and chip and then half of your finger is shiny and half of it isn’t. I end up picking at it, which again, does damage.I came across this product and read the reviews. I saw that there was no polish and it only had a cream with the buffer and filer. I looked at the brand and realized that I had been given this exact kit over 10 years ago, it could’ve been 15 years for all I remember. I kept it for the longest time because it had actually worked. But eventually the lotion became watery that it wasn’t usable and I threw it out. The buffer was used up, and the file had broken after years of use. However I kept the bag this kit was in. And that’s the photo that I posted. It’s the same brand just with different branding. They add more detail with how often to buffing your nail with each side, and how often to use the cream. I can’t remember if those instructions were on the original items but it’s the same product and I am so glad I found it again. It’s vegan, it doesn’t require any nail polish, and the change in my nails using the buffer once and the lotion two days in a row is amazing. I don’t have a before and after, but my nail itself has a shine to it and there is no polish on it. They also feel strong. This time around I’m going to adhere to this and make sure I use it as instructed and be consistent.

I have been using this set for 2 weeks now, and although I will update later on how long-lasting it is, so far so good. I have very weak nails naturally, they are flexible and tend to flake and split from the side edges inwards, and after years of cancer treatments and a chemical menopause, they have now started to show vertical ridges. As I’m still in treatment and not allowed to use nail varnish or remover most of the time, I bought this set in the hope that it would make my nails less embarrassing! The first time I used the buffer, the visible difference was immediate: the beginnings of ridges were smoothed and the nails so shiny they looked as if I had clear nail varnish on them. The shine lasted for a week despite using the cuticle cream on it most nights, until I used the buffer tool again. The cuticle cream is easy to apply and has a light fragrance of garden herbs, and I’m really pleased with how healthy my nails are now looking 👍 In the two weeks I’ve been using the set I haven’t had any splitting or breakage, which is unusual for me but I don’t want to assume this is down to the Onsen products until I’ve used them for a longer period. The buffer surfaces are apparently valid for 10 uses (so 10 weeks if following the box instructions) and it includes a spare set.
