They fit Andis Excel 5-Speed Model #SMS Clippers
These combs do fit Andis Excel 5-Speed Model #SMS Clippers. At first I didnât think they fit, but then I figured out that the metal prongs in the back side of the comb slide out to expand the size of the combs to fit right over the SMC clipper blade. So they fit great and work great and for much less cost than other combs. This set has 10 combs including a 50mm/2â length comb and a 38mm/1.5â comb. These longer length combs arenât common in combs sets, so if you like to cut your animals hair longer like 1.5â to 2â, this is the comb set for you.If you donât need the longer 1.5â and 2â combs, there is another comb set on Amazon for less money by Shernbao. Itâs an 8-comb metal comb set that also fits the Andis Model SMC Excel 5-speed clippers.The combs appear to be sturdy and well built, alt high I havenât used them long-term so I canât speak to their long-term durability. They do have all metal on the comb tines and metal on the part that clips on to the blade. The colored plastic part really doesnât do much other than color code the combs and provide a plastic covering over some of the metal.The combs come in a nice plastic case.

I love that this set has the larger combs, easily hooks on blade and doesnât fall off, I didnât need all the sizes though, would be nice to have a set just with the larger sizes from one inch to two inch without all the smaller ones that I most likely will not use. Pricing is around the same as other name brands

I bought these specifically for the 1.25″, 1.5″, and 2″ guards. Great for experienced groomers who want to set longer lengths instead of handscissoring an entire dog. Still requires a lot of scissor work, but Great time savers. The guards will bend or break if dropped repeatedly. Recommended for maintained, thoroughly brushed out coats as the guard feels like it could slip off the blade if you run into any small tangle.

DIY grooming made easy!
These fit perfectly on our clippers and are sturdy metal. There is every size we needed and more. We have a bernedoodle with wavy hair and like the longer look. Having the 2 inch comb allows us to keep the long look and quickly trim her up. We used some of the shorter combs on her face, ears and belly to keep her looking nice. These pretty much paid for themselves with one use.

I was super excited to see larger than 1″ combs for dog grooming. Having bought this set, I immediately put it through its paces. I trimmed both my sons hair with the 1 1/2″ comb. Perfect. Trimmed a well kept Lhasa Apso with the 2″ comb. Beautiful and the owners were beyond thrilled. Used the 1 1/2″ comb on a Shih Tzu, also perfect. Used the 7/8″ comb on a Golden Doodle, and not only was it closer to 3/4″, but at the first hint of a tangle, the comb flew off my clippers, fell to the floor and bent!There is a significant amount of space between the blade, and the comb. They do not sit flush against the blade, and yes, I am using an Oster blade as well. They also get clogged with excess hair. I am disappointed because I was hoping to replace my Wahl combs with these, and I am not able to with their lack of durability. The sizes are also off when compared to the Wahl set, even though Oster went to great lengths to use the same color system that Wahl uses.I think if you’re going to groom a dog with a perfectly silky, tangle free coat, you will be happy. Let me know if that happens more than twice in a month.

This was the first time I have clipped my Golden Doodle and I found the guides easy to use and they fit securely to my Clippers. I used several guides from the longest to the shortest to get the desired finnish. I would not have known what length guide to purchase individualy so the full range was very useful. They will pay for themselves after just a few trims rather than using the dog groomers. I would recommend them.
