Perfect toy for an energetic puppy!
I have had this toy for about a week now and my 12 week-old puppy absolutely LOVES it! She has seemingly infinite energy, and I was having difficulty finding ways to tire her out, especially because she hadn’t had all of her puppy vaccinations yet and wasn’t allowed to play with other dogs (which meant no dog park, no puppy class, etc.). I saw this toy when I was browsing Amazon and decided it was worth a try. Well, as I said earlier, my puppy absolutely loves it! I move it around the floor and she chases after it running full speed. It is by far the best way I have found to entertain her and tire her out inside the apartment, and the best part is that I don’t have to run around like crazy: I can just stand (or even sit) in one spot and swing the toy around. She cannot get enough of it.As I stated before, I have only had this toy for about a week, I probably should mention that my puppy is only about 3-4 pounds; however, the toy seems to be extremely durable. A larger dog might be able to do some damage to the toy itself (just as they can with any other toy), but it does come with a replacement. Also, I love how thick and sturdy the rope is. For a puppy as small as mine, the rope part can sort of double as a rope toy, because it is definitely sturdy enough for a small dog to chew on it without you having to worry about them destroying it or swallowing pieces of it. I would guess that the toy is probably durable enough to use outdoors, but I have not tried that yet. Regardless, on days when the weather isn’t conducive to playing outside, this toy is a phenomenal way to entertain your dog inside and get them to burn off some energy, even if you don’t have a ton of space inside your home.Overall, I truly believe this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. You and your dog can get hours and hours of fun for a very reasonable price. I have made countless purchases on Amazon over the years, and this is the first time that I have ever taken the time to write a product review, which should tell you how much my puppy and I love this product. I would highly recommend this toy for anyone who has a puppy (or an adult dog that still has lots of energy and enjoys playing with toys), especially a smaller breed (like a Havanese, which is what my puppy is). If your dog is anything like mine, you (and your dog) will be extremely pleased with your purchase.

Great for our high energy pup
I heard about “flirt poles” randomly online as a good way to exercise your dog during the winter or bad weather when you can’t go for longer walks. We have a small terrier mix who’s relatively high energy and has a pretty high prey drive outside. This is a great tool to really tire him out and I think it’ll be really useful come winter to get him some exercise. He absolutely LOVES playing with his toys like this and will start whining if he sees us grab it lol. The cord seems sturdy, I like that the end is a loop that you can simply twist around other toys we already have (his favorite is this octopus toy, we wrap the cord around its neck and all the tentacles dangle down). The toys it came with unfortunately lasted 2 seconds but figured that would happen since he’s rough with toys.

You’re not going to find anything better
So, my tail chaser was looking a little ratty. The dog had been playing with it for a long time, and to be honest, I forgot where I bought it. I went to a Petsmart, and they told me they don’t have anything with a long stick and long Cord like this. They just have smaller versions for cats. I have a dog. This is her favorite thing to do. The guy in the store specifically recommended this brand, said that he had bought this one himself, and then I saw on my Amazon history that I last purchased it in December 2017. The thing is almost 7 years old. It never broke, and she chases it really fast and pulls on it with all her strength. She’s a 12 pound dog. After I realize that the thing had held up for seven long years of abuse, I realized I had to do a five star review for this company. Don’t hesitate. This is my dogs favorite toy for her entire life . It’s the fastest she runs, and the most excited she gets except when we come home. Then she loses her mind for a while.

Fun but not very durable
It’s a very fun toy and a good workout for my dog. However, day 1 of having it, he was able to get the squeaker out. Luckily I was able to see the toy back shut. My dog is only a 12lb Mal-Shi. I wouldn’t recommend this toy for a bigger stronger dog. If you do buy it, be careful with the squeaker and check the seams.

We have a dog with many toys, but he tires of them after a while. During severe winter weather, we were trying to get him exercised, inside,somehow, as he is a runner and jumper by nature, in good weather, using our large property to stay happy and healthy on his daily outings with us, It is impossible to tell you how excited he gets at the sight of this pole, and the rattling of the little stuffed animal hypes him up totally. We never knew he could grab “prey” out of midair until this came along! He wags his tail the entire time, every second, that it is in use, until we finally get tired, before he does, and hide it away in a closet. He chases it around and around the room , whether we drag it on the floor (at great speed) or twirl it around in the air. When he does catch it, we just pull it back from him and twirl it around again. He never loses the enthusiasm and the pure joy of playing with it. BEST thing we ever have bought in all the years, for any of the dogs we have owned. The pole, though quite lightweight, seems quite sturdy, as does the plaited nylon rope. If this ever breaks, we will buy him another immediately, and now, we also plan to get the larger, longer version of “flirt pole” for outddors when the weather allows.

My Border Collie is completely mad for this toy, he loves it. It’s sturdy and durable. The toy at the end gets slobbery and matted pretty quickly of course, personally I don’t mind this, and I’m actually impressed at the fact that the squeaker in mine is still working.
