Oval Thumb Worry Stone
I should say right up front that I don’t believe in Chakra crystals or healing stones or any of that spiritual stuff. But I DO fidget a lot, and having an object to be the focus of that nervous energy is very helpful to me. I enjoy various fidget toys and spinners, but in my opinion, nothing else is quite as good and soothing as a good old worry stone. This particular worry stone is very pretty, with bands of different colors. It came in a little drawstring bag, which was a nice touch, and helps protect the stone from getting pitted when I put it in my pocket.It’s a smooth stone, with an indent for your thumb to rub in. It remains relatively cool, even after rubbing it. It will warm up as you actively use it, but stop for a few seconds, and it is cool to the touch again. That’s a sensation that I find very relaxing. For me the only drawback is that there were a few small pits on the back of the rock. You don’t typically actively rub that side, but you definitely feel it from time to time as you manipulate the rock, which I don’t love.Overall, however, I enjoy this rock as an easy and very portable anxiety soother and focus for my nervous energy.

I got the oval worry stone. It comes in a small dark blue drawstring velvet pouch inside a perfectly sized box.QUALITY:I wasnât sure exactly what I was going to get as far as stone coloring/mottling goes, as all stones and rocks have different patterns and imperfections. Itâs hard to tell if all of the stones used in the making of this are real as opposed to manufactured/man-made.The green part of the stone, as well as parts of the light blue and orange parts of the stone, are the only sections that let light through when I hold it up to the light. The red and purple parts are not nearly as saturated in color as in the main product photo. The Tigerâs Eye (or what I think is Tigerâs Eye – the gold/yellow stone) seems to be a smaller width than the other stones, which seem uniform in width, except for the purple stone which is the smallest width as well as the smallest section. As shown in other photos on the product page, Iâm sure there is much variation in each stone they make, so it would be hard to show exactly what you would get.On mine, the seams arenât noticeable much, except between the red and orange part on one side. This is the only place on the stone where the surface isnât very smooth.USE:This worry stone seems to be the standard size compared to other worry stones Iâve used. Itâs easy to hold. It fits well in your hand and pretty much any sized thumb will fit in the concave depression where you are meant to push and rub when feeling worried or anxious. I donât know much about chakras and how they are related to the different stones that make up this worry stone, nor what the metaphysical properties are or what they can do for you, but I know that at least the intent in using the various types of stone is good. So with that, I get a positive feeling about this worry stone.FINAL THOUGHTS:This is a nice addition to a wellness toolbox. I like that it comes with a little velvet pouch. You can keep it in your pocket, purse, bag, or backpack for quick access. Thereâs something about rubbing this kind of stone that feels very soothing. The colors of the stone are not as pretty and vibrant as I would have liked, but it still functions well. Each stone should look slightly different, so thereâs no guarantee what you will get with this purchase as far as that is concerned.
