Chorizo –
Strong smelling, but Santo Palo and sage?
I wanted to love this. The box says phthalate free, CFC free, ethically sourced, vegan and cruelty free, alcohol-free, reusable and recyclable. The description of woody, clean and fresh is my favorite type of scent profile. The container is well presented, and thought out. When I opened it and took off the cap I could smell a sage/Santo Palo scent but then I unscrewed the lid and sniffed again. It confused me because it didn’t smell good. I decided to test it to see if it would change once it aired out, and spritzed a bit. I didn’t smell right. I can smell Santo Palo and white sage, but something else and it just doesn’t smell good to me. I went to the living room determined to try again and spritzed Wow. The family came out from all corners of the house asking “ugh what’s that smell?!” I reluctantly have to agree with them. My husband said it smelled like fabric softener mixed with an old lady perfume. I am not sure that would be an accurate description but that’s what he said. If I spritz the tiniest amount of this and I can pick up the right scent but also something else and it unfortunately doesn’t work in my home.

Lovely scent, but doesn’t last too long.
As the title says, the scent is very nice, but I feel like it dissipates within just a matter of minutes. Maybe that’s a function of its usage, but I would prefer to have the scent stay around a little longer.Also, I found the packaging to have just a bit too much plastic on it. The box that came in was shrink wrapped, and then the bottle itself was also shrink wrapped, which I felt was little unnecessary.I personally don’t buy into any of the claims in the box. I exclusively got this for the scent and not the vibes. Overall it’s pretty solid. I just wish it had a bit more staying power.

This Scent Grounds Me and Starts My Meditation Process
I’m a bit of an aroma snob. Part of this is because for whatever reason, I get a really sore throat with artificial scents. I’ll often get a migraine as well.This smudge spray is the real deal. It smells very comforting to me. It’s woodsy and calming. It starts my meditation process. I admit that when I am stressed during the day, I give this a quick spray and just count to 10 to get myself grounded again.I love this spray.FYI, the bottle is securely packaged in a cardboard box which is wrapped i a tamper proof cellophane seal.Review for: Palo Santo & White Sage Smudge Spray by Aromafume
