Helpful, but you have to put in the work.
The product is great, but my puppy likes to bite it, ring it like crazy, and try to yank it off the wall if she’s excited enough. Hopefully that will change as she ages. She does use it, though. And that’s nice.It’s not fool proof though. My puppy uses this, but sometimes she won’t ring it and goes pee elsewhere. Or I barely hear it because she touched it lightly. YOU have to put in the work to train your dog how to properly use this.And if your dog really isn’t getting it, don’t blame the product…. just return and try something else. It’s not for every dog.That being said, my cat uses voice buttons and I took them away when we introduced the puppy to our home. Now the cat, instead of pressing his “outside” button, he rings it when he wants to go out, so it can work for any animal, I think.

Pet Heroic Dog DoorBells
We have had these bells now for over a year and still does the job 😉 We hung them on a “stick up hook” next to our sliding door (but during training we hung them on the door handle to associate the sound with the door opening). Our pup was a little slow at picking up what we were trying to do, stick with it! (the first few days of training we alternated the treats with praise, we didn’t want to train him to only do things for treats), when he realized ringing the bells every time we went outside to go potty or just go out to do yardwork or play, that good things happened, he then began using the bells to also let us know when his water dish was empty (we feed and water next to the door) such a smart pup. It really comes in handy when we are watching TV or talking with someone (not paying attention to him) he gets our attention to “go out”. I can hear the bells from about 2 rooms away if I don’t have the radio or TV on but my husband cannot hear them as well. I recomend.

Must have if you’re training a puppy!
I will admit that I was skeptical about getting this and honestly didn’t not see it working. We recently got a new puppy to add to our brood of other dogs (now there were 3) Oh my goodness. She was not exactly following the program if you know what I mean but, after a few weeks she finally got the hang of the bells and now she’s tapping them with her giant paws every time she needs to go outside and “make.” I will tell you that it helps to instill consistency and provide treats as incentive so that they continue. They actually provided an instruction manual to help you with the training which was a pleasant surprise when I opened the packaging.

Works great for potty training
I have 3 toy poodles. We have bell trained all if them. They will either hit it with their nose or paw and then wait by the door. This works great. We have 1 for the front door and 1 for the back.

Mehâ¦it is ok
The snaps do not stay secured so I had to use a rubber band to keep it from sliding off of the door knob. The bells are sort of quiet, but our dog just rings it until we hear her. It is long and can be adjusted⦠if the snaps work. I like the color for our kitchen.
