Super loud squeak âdefenseâ mechanism
This toy has a hilariously creative âdefenseâ mechanism for a dog toy.. itâs one heck of a loud squeaker!! Honestly itâs so loud I think my dog thought she was actually hurting something alive or the squeak was so loud it was hurting her ears. Itâs durable enough to still be intact 1 hour later. With typical small plastic squeakers inside stuffed toys, she has the squeaker out and dead within 5-10 minutes. She ripped off the ear of the frog ball within a few minutes but when she started chewing the ball she only went for another 10 minutes with spurts of 5-10 seconds of crazy loud squeaking before giving it a rest (thankfully for my ears too!). She comes back to it throughout the day. The ball and squeaker are still miraculously intact because the squeak is so incredibly loud. Just be prepared for some extremely loud interruptions on zoom calls.

My 2 pound puppy loves it
It’s almost as big as my puppy, but he loves swinging it around by the hanger. The squeak is not noisy or aggravating. He’s so small that he can’t chew very heavily, so I can’t say how it would hold up to an aggressive chewer.

Problem: Millie won’t play with other toys.
We bought this toy hoping for a particular squeaker but this wasn’t it. Millie did not share our disappointment. She has had no interest in any other toy since she opened this frog that as you can see from the listing, looks nothing like a frog. She comes out of the bedroom in the morning and goes to get her frog. We are having issue with her trying to take it outside. Most of her toys are of interest for a few minutes then off to something else. She has not picked up another toy since the day Amazon delivered this frog. We will see how long is last and revise if it does not hold up well.

I have purchased a few squeaky toys from Pet Lou and this one did not squeak out of the box. That being said, it is still a sturdy toy that my dog enjoys.My experience so far is that the frog and the rabbit balls have either not squeaked or barely squeak, but multiple hedgehogs that I’ve purchased have had great squeakers which have outlasted many other squeaky toys. I wanted to share my experience with the other variations because the ones that work are my dog’s favorite toys and despite my disappointment with the two that don’t work, I still plan to try to buy more working ones in the future.

These animal head toys are well worth the affordable price. Stock up as we do and pull a new one out on occasion to make your dog’s day! They are easy to catch, easy for them to knock around. They don’t hurt the furniture and when they have destroyed the outer cover there is a ball inside that they love to play with for more fun! We take these on all of our trips and have the grandmas pull one out for a fun gift when we arrive! Grab the frog, the chick, the bunny, the giraffe, the sloth….just grab them all!!

My dog loved it
The covering doesn’t stay on very long at all with my dog but she still continue to play with the clear spikey ball inside the covering as long as it continues to squeak and this varies greatly between the different toys that I have purchased. But it gives her fun for a while and to me it’s worth the nominal price paid for her pleasure
