Thank you for saving my rugs!
While our Yorkie puppy would pee on her pee pad, pooping was a different story. She often had two rugs that seemed to be her favorite for poo time. I would use the stain and odor removers every time I picked it up, but it seemed to never keep her from returning to the areas. At least that was the case before I tried this! Now, it did not work on the first time I used it on those small areas, but I kept using this spraying over the entire rugs every few days and I also put a bit in the water of my Bissell Crosswave before running it, and I can honestly say she never uses the rugs for her potty areas anymore! Some say Yorkies are hard to train, but our youngest is now one year old and fully potty trained to her pee pad and also enjoys going outside to potty with her big brother.

Don’t make the mistake I made save your money
Absolutely nothing to spray water on the dog itself to prevent them from going to the bathroom that place because it did nothing to do anything of any sort of deterrence at all. Another waste of money. I am a self-supporting independent animal rescue I can’t afford to be throwing money away to false advertisement I wish you guys could really like make it well for the sake of the animals.

I was pretty sure this stuff wouldn’t work
Okay. I was pretty sure this stuff wouldn’t work. Boy, was I wrong. A little back story–I rescued a ten month old dog that I was told had been housebroken. They lied. I took her home and within a week she started soiling my brand-new carpet. I worked on housebreaking her and it seemed to work. Except at night. She’d get up and use the carpet to poop. This would happen several times a week. I ended up trying puppy pads. Unfortunately, she did not like them and would find another spot to go in the room. Next, I tried keeping her in her crate. Didn’t work as she had no problems going in her crate, then sleeping in it all night. Next morning, I had to clean her and the crate.I was desperate, and about to replace my carpet with hard wood flooring, when I decided to do a little research. I found this. I didn’t hold out much hope, but thought it was worth a try.So, the first night I sprayed this stuff all over my rug. And woke up the next morning to a dry floor. That was three months ago and she has not had one accident. It’s a great product and a lot cheaper then getting rid of my carpet.

    Inconclusive data
Not sure if it is placebo effect or not, but for the price, I just try it out. I sprayed on the carpets everytime my puppy had accidents. The weirdest part is that he likes it, he get jumping towards the mist it when I sprayed and lick the carpet. And of all available spaces other than grass, he likes going on the carpet (vs linoleum/wood/concrete). Here’s what I did: If he pees, after dabbing up with paper towel as much pee I can, I sprayed upholstery cleaner, scrubbed it and dab those up as well. Then, I sprayed this over a wider area. If he poops, after discarding poop, I sprayed bleach, dab that, spray upholstery cleaner and scrub. Dab thag up and then spray this over it. I guess it sort of work until the scent go away? Because he still does it anyway. I have a corgi and the potty training gets easier with him (thankfully). This may help but you need to use other methods to reinforce potty training not to go in the house. Since I have a backyard, I hang a bell to teach him to ring it whenever he needs to go out. But he will still pee if I didn’t get it in time.

    Best on the market!!
Okay you guys…this stuff? A-MAZING! I have 2 mailed dogs who seem to think it necessary to tag everything- and I mean EVERYTHING in our house. Literally, mopping several times a day because of it, no matter how many times we would take them outside. I have sprayed this stuff ONE TIME and they haven’t marked again since!! SERIOUSLY!! So so happy! This was my last ditch effort before investing in doggie diapers for my little stinkers!! Worth the money, it really does work, and the smell is light and clean. Love love love this!!!

    Not a Deterrent
Due to the low stars I didn’t have high hopes, but there were some great reviews and so I figured I would at least try it out for the money. It did not work. In fact, it appeared to do the opposite. My puppy peed more in a 30 minute span than he had in the last 6-12 hours, and all directly where/near I had sprayed the No-Go. It is as if the scent bothered him and rather than avoiding it he tried to mask it with his urine.Point of clarity – other reviews suggested you can spray your rugs / areas with this as a deterrent. The bottle specifically says it is not a deterrent. It just cleans areas with prior accidents from their smell so that the existing smell doesn’t ENCOURAGE pets to pee again in that spot. It doesn’t DISCOURAGE them from peeing there in the future, and doesn’t do anything for spots that weren’t previously urinated on.The spray does have a nice scent for humans.Wish I could return

I washed my throw rugs that my pup likes pooping on. Then sprayed very liberally with this product, did not do a thing, he did not seem to notice or care about the spray at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The closest you can get to a magic spray, would be to pee into a spray bottle and dilute it with water. But nothing is full proof. This spray like all others is a training tool. Tea spraying tea might work just as well for some dogs. It is to give the dogs a smell to associate with your attitudes towards towards certain actions. It won’t just work for pee, but anything, so long as you are consistent.Last night the spray bottle arrived, I immediately cleaned and then spray the area my puppy goes that I really want to stop immediately. Of course my puppy does not know what the smell means, so I got down the stairs and saw some pee right in the center of that area. I simply cleaned the area again, and sprayed, all the while giving a disapproving look, and telling her bad dog. Hopefully, it clicked but if not I will just have to repeat. So 30 minutes later she was laying next to the stairs, chewing on one of the stairs. I told her no, and 30 seconds later she is back at it. I look and there are chew marks. So I tell her no again, slide her out of the way and spray the stair. She sniffs it, and a bell goes off in her head. She then moves on to chew the stair one level higher. So I spray tell her no, and spray all the stairs in her reach, and one higher for that stretch goal. She then goes on to find a toy to chew. The smell works. In that it is something she can smell and associated with an my attitude. It doesn’t work in the sense, it didn’t magically tell her don’t pee here. It just should just help her understand and tell what I mean when I say don’t pee here.
