Convenient
I’ve been driving between several states in the last year. This has made traveling with my dog so much easier. I won’t feed canned or kibble but this is easy to rehydrate and tasty for my dog.

My little pooch really enjoyed the chicken flavored Primal, easy to prepare and serve. Breaks up really easy and fast to prepare. Wouldn’t mind trying other flavors but she is a pickey eater so wouldn’t want to chance wasting money.

Found a Balance
I’ve finally found a balance of food for my 14yr old pup. After years of looking for the right mix of food for his health and taste, I mix this with water and add in 1/3 can of Ziwi Peak canned chicken (he doesn’t like the Beef for some unknown reason) he eats it right up once he gets hungry. He’s not a breakfast eater but sometimes he likes and afternoon meal then a 1/2 meal at night. Our Vet even said that if not for his eyes mild cataract fogging he’d never guess he was 14 so I’m doing something right. He’s been eating for about 3-4 yrs but finally found the right canned food to mix with it because alone it’s too rich for him. He has a strong heart and acts like a pup chasing squirrels and such and very little shedding given that he’s a Jack/Corgi mix. When he eats regular grain dog food he sheds like crazy and we’re covered in white fur all over our clothes. If you have a high shedding pup, grain free without soy peas beans and legumes like this with Primal is a great start. It takes about a month to notice so don’t expect a miracle overnight but it will happen. It’s been a life changer for us. Update: 8/26/24 Still excellent food with the same brand and mix of this and ziwi however with the last several bags of chicken is that when I open the bags and until bag is finished I get what I think are food mites. I canât see them but I get the itchies and what feels like bug bites on me. The turkey/sardine isnât an issue. I think theyâre called dog food storage mites. Take it for what itâs worth in what Iâm saying. Itâs still great food and worth it for my 22lbs pup. If this goes away or find itâs from something else, Iâll update. Iâll try another online shopping store for my next delivery to see whatâs going on. Me or the way itâs manufactured.

My dog loves this
I wasn’t sure about this freeze dried dog food but my dog loves it! It has a funny smell and when I break up the little cubes it looks like saw dust but the ingredients seem to be good for him and he loves eating it. I mix it up with his regular “cooked” food i make him (ground port, carrotts, peas, and brown rice) and a little bit of his regular kibble in warm water to make a nice gravy. It is a bit expensive but as an additive it works well.

My puppy LOVES this food!
I am so impressed by how much my puppy loves this food. I’ve never purchased freeze dried food, but was impressed by the reviews. I was very surprised to see the size and weight of the nuggets. My pup (a Havanese) did not eat her kibble even though it’s a high quality (and expensive) product. I bought cans of toppers to try to entice her to eat, but she continued to walk away from it. Now I can put a little kibble in her dish along with a crumbled up nugget with warm water and she loves it and eats every morsel in her dish! She actually barks in anticipation of eating when I’m putting it together! I’ve never had a dog that was so finicky, but very happy to have discovered this product!

I mean…all these freeze dried food things are so expensive and I’m not sure why. They don’t really last that long, there’s not a lot in any of these bags. There’s no weight to them. I crumble up 1 piece on each of my dogs food for a topper and add a liquid to get some moisture onto it and mix it up, I add other things too so they get a good lunch. They like it, and I hope they are actually getting added nutrition from them. But ya, I can’t afford to buy this for 2 German Shepherds all them time.
