The soft tissue at the back of the throat relaxes during sleep, partially blocking the airway. As air rushes through this narrowed opening, it causes the tissue to “flutter” like a flag in the wind. This vibration causes the unmistakable sound of snoring.

Though it may look similar, the PureSleep device is significantly different from an athletic mouthguard. PureSleep is an adjustable device designed to hold your lower jaw slightly forward, thus opening your airway while you sleep. Unlike athletic mouthguards our patented device is made from two different high-quality plastics, including a soft plastic on the inside, and a hard plastic on the outside which gives it more structural rigidity while requiring less material overall, making it less bulky and therefore more comfortable. Finally, an athletic mouthguard is only designed to protect your teeth and mouth from injury; it is not designed to hold your jaw in a specific position.
