High quality cards with some issues
This card deck was made with high quality, and I generally like what it has to provide, although I’m not sure why the images on each card depict human-like blobs when women are the purported target market. Roughly speaking, I would say I like 80% of the cards, so I’ll be setting aside the other 20%. If I were to rank the 4 card categories, I would rate them in the following decreasing order of value to me: (1) breathing techniques, (2) mindfulness practices, (3) gratitude and appreciation, and (4) affirmations and mantras. The cards on breathing techniques actually overlap with the content of a book I’ve been working through, “Breath Slower, Deeper, Better” by Yael Bloch, so I plan to work through these cards in the future once I better understand the techniques as laid out in the book. However, I agree with some other reviewers here that there is considerable overlap within this card category. As can be seen in my nearby photo, three of these cards present the *exact* *same* breathing technique, with different labels at the top (“Square Breathing”, “4-Part Breath”, “Box Breathing”). A few cards have grammar or spelling mistakes, and some are incorrectly presented. For example, the card labeled “1:2 Ratio Breathing” presents a breathing technique that I often perform while trail running, inhaling for a count of 4 and exhaling for a count of 4, and I mentioned in my review of a book entitled “Still Running” that I also correspond each count with a single stride. The drawing on this card shows counts of 4, but at the bottom then states that these counts should actually be 4 and 8, which I think many would find confusing. In another nearby photo, I show a couple odd cards from the mindfulness practices and gratitude and appreciation categories. None of the gratitude and appreciation cards explain to whom or what these sentiments are directed, but when I see a beverage depicted alongside junk food as “things that bring you peace and calmness”, it makes me cringe. The other card in this photo, labled “Loving-Kindness Meditation” at the top, starts off well, but then suggests that users of these cards “extend these wishes to loved ones, acquaintances, and even difficult individuals.” I would like to understand how following this practice makes sense, since other people aren’t going to be receiving anything from doing so. I would instead suggest that these wishes be communicated directly to individuals, or if this wasn’t possible, to pray for them. The third photo I’ve posted nearby shows three affirmations and mantras card examples as to why I listed this category last. Like some other cards, the first starts out well by encouraging users of these cards to “embrace change and welcome new opportunities”, but then quickly follows up by suggesting that individuals “trust in the universe’s plan for me.” The universe is inanimate and impersonal, and so has no plans for anyone. The second card also starts out well by stating that “I am grounded and centered in the present moment”, but then encourages card users to “connect with the wisdom of my body.” Wisdom originates from outside the body, not from within. Lastly, the third card here encourages individuals to “let go of what no longer serves me”: this sentiment displays extreme selfishness, which I have no desire to emulate.

A Helpful Tool for Managing Anxiety: 120 Meditation Cards for Anxiety Relief and Self-Care
As a mental health advocate, I’m always on the lookout for new tools and resources to help manage anxiety and promote self-care. One product that I’ve found to be particularly helpful is the 120 Meditation Cards for Anxiety Relief and Self-Care. These cards offer a unique and accessible way to incorporate mindfulness and meditation into your daily routine, making them a valuable addition to any anxiety relief toolkit. The deck contains 120 cards, each featuring a calming image on one side and an affirmation or meditation prompt on the other. The images are diverse and soothing, ranging from nature scenes to abstract designs, and the affirmations are positive and uplifting. Examples include ‘I am worthy of love and compassion,’ ‘I trust myself to make the right decisions,’ and ‘I am grateful for this moment, just as it is.’What I appreciate most about these cards is how versatile they are. You can use them in a variety of ways, depending on your needs and preferences. For example, you can draw a card at random and meditate on the affirmation for a few minutes each day. Alternatively, you can use them as conversation starters in therapy sessions or support groups, or even create your own meditation practice by drawing several cards and incorporating multiple affirmations into your routine.Another benefit of these cards is that they’re highly portable. You can easily slip them into your purse or pocket and take them with you on-the-go, making them an ideal tool for managing anxiety in any situation. Whether you’re waiting in line at the grocery store, sitting in traffic, or feeling overwhelmed at work, these cards can provide a moment of calm and reflection.Of course, it’s important to note that these cards are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment. If you’re struggling with anxiety or any other mental health condition, it’s crucial to seek help from a qualified mental health professional. However, these cards can be a helpful complement to traditional therapy, providing additional support and encouragement as you work towards better mental health.Overall, I highly recommend the 120 Meditation Cards for Anxiety Relief and Self-Care to anyone looking for a practical and accessible way to manage anxiety and promote self-care. The affirmations are positive and empowering, the images are calming and soothing, and the versatility of the deck makes it a valuable tool for anyone looking to incorporate mindfulness and meditation into their daily routine.
