ABSOLUTELY THE BEST ON THE MARKET
forget whatever anybody says. THIS IS THE BEST OF ITS KIND -HANDS DOWN! (pun intended.) AND 10 Bucks?? – are u kidding? it’s total no brainer.
i bought this 3-1/2 years ago, & it still works like it’s new. i have owned many others, & either they haven’t worked all that well, or they fall apart after a few months.
    THIS ONE:
    –GRABS EXCELLENTLY/TIGHTLY/COMPLETELY
    –FOLDS IN HALF PERFECTLY
    –NEVER FAILS TO WORK PERFECTLY
–IS SUPER STUDY (never bends or gives, when reaching with a maximum stretch)
–LIGHTWEIGHT, YET STRONG AS CAN BE.
it’s so good, even though i’ve been using the 3.5-year-old one all the time and still it’s like new, i’m getting another one today, just for the convenience of having one, in 2 different rooms.
i mean, IT’S $11 OTD (i.e., with tax)!! HOW CAN U BEAT THAT?! u can pay much more for the same thing, and i guarantee u it won’t b as good as this one.
BUY IT! U WON’T B SORRY. PLUS THE MAKER OF THIS TERRIFIC PRODUCT DESERVES OUR SUPPORT.
how many $10 items are great – do everything they claim – AND LAST A LONG TIME??

    No more stooping
Right length for sitting. A little short for standing. Easy to manipulate. Inexpensive! I can pick up a box of tissues while seated. Very useful tool – I wish I had gotten it earlier.

    For lightweight use only.
This works fine for light objects, but it is too lightly built to lift or move anything heavy (say, greater than a pound ) without risk of dropping it. This is because the hand grip doesn’t allow enough pressure to hold the object, especially if the object is thin. If the object is wide, like a glass bottle or soup can, there is enough pressure available—if you have the grip strength in your hand—to hold the object, but as the object becomes progressively thinner there is less movement of the grip available to squeeze it, and at the very narrow end, the grip pressure drops to near nothing at all. Just understand this..
But for grabbing lightweight object, it works well enough and is a good value. The grabbing claw can be rotated 90° to assist in grabbing objects vertically or horizontally.

    Hard to decide! Buy Both!
The photos show the 2 grabbers that I purchased yesterday from Amazon Prime. The Pikstik is an exact replacement for the one I have had for many years now. The folding one I bought from Amazon Prime as well.
I drive a mobility scooter and I have had the Pikstik unit secured across the top of the tiller and would perfectly set behind my 2 rear view mirrors and secured with 2 small clips. When I would spot something that would be a road hazard to cars by getting picked up by a moving vehicle and shot into a passing vehicle or a vehicle following it, I would swoop in and grab the object off the street and then place it off the road or if small enough I would toss it into the trash bag that I carry with me. I use the grabber almost every time I take the scooter out for a ride. I also have a 30” extension magnet for the metal objects that I find in the road like lug nuts, screws, nails, construction staples, hubcaps and items that I don’t know what they are. As a retired Army veteran, I used to be a helicopter mechanic and crew chief on Huey’s and unfortunately I was involved in an incident where a piece of metal was picked up and thrown into my tail rotor as the pilot lifted off the tarmac. The object destroyed the tail rotor causing the craft to spin out of control and the pilot had to slam us down HARD which caused horrific damage and injury to the pilot. I was lucky enough to only sustain minor injury. The one BIG rule that was always talked about was F. O. D. (Foreign Object Damage). Any object that is on the ground is a potential hazard to any aircraft so major attention is focused on making sure that no FOD is on the tarmac.
The same applies to roads and streets and anywhere that vehicles travel. An object can be picked up by the tread of a vehicle and either right then or maybe later when that vehicle is on the highway or freeway and has enough speed going that the object stuck in the tread of the tire suddenly lets go of it. This object can and does catapult out from the tire and can easily damage a vehicle that happens to be behind them. I have seen objects penetrate through windshields or strike the body of the vehicle causing serious damage/or injury.
So in my small town, while out and about I take it upon myself to help remove potentially dangerous objects from the streets in our town.
So enough of the FOD stuff. I have always had the Pikstik non folding grabber handy for me to use. So why did I also buy the folding one? Well I sometimes, rarely but sometimes I wished I had 2 grabbers to aid in some of the larger items that I find in the streets. The other day I somehow managed to snap one of the grabber legs off from a branch sticking out of a large bush. I attempted a JB Weld repair with somewhat less than stellar precision and decided to just purchase a new one.
So here it is. The Pikstik has a price tag of around $25. The folding one was $10 on a 50% reduced price from $20. The photos show that other than the folding difference the 2 grabbers are identical. I will install the non folding one back where the broken one has been riding for years. The folding one has a little snap clamp that I have installed under the seat of my mobility scooter and I can access it easily when I need a second one to assist with the Pikstik. Both of these grabbers seem to work identically and equally. One $25. The other $9.95. Hummmm. Big difference in the price for what? I’m not sure. But I am sure that I needed to replace the broken one I have with the same. I haven’t used the folding one yet but I can tell that it will probably perform equally as well as the non folding one. My recommendation would be as follows……
Buy both of them and enjoy! I will!
Now, I have 2 fur-babies that are ready to go for a ride today in “their” scooter. Hopefully I will try the folding one today.
I will be posting this same review on both of the grabbers pages.

    Fantastic Reach Extension
Lightweight. Pretty cheap to purchase. A little squeaky like an unoiled metal door that’s been in a humid area a couple of years. I don’t mind that. Excellent lazy assistant. About an extra 4 ft reach. Not very strong but decent for lifting empty containers. Small enough to store and break apart only takes about 2 ft. Helpful gift for someone with mobility issues who needs to reach a small remote that fell on the floor. Maybe you need to grab a small water bottle. Some papers or paper towels. Picking up after your kids who throw their clothes on the floor instead of the laundry basket or hamper.

    I don’t really like it
I pick up trash around my city 3-4x a week, and I rely on these grabber sticks for 99% of the labor. I have been using another brand for the past 4 years and it’s performed flawlessly. I decided to try this one to have as a backup in case one of those breaks.
Everything about this one is different than my old one. The “trigger” is sticky and squeaky, which is annoying. Maybe this will go away the more I use it, I don’t know. I might try spraying it with WD40 to make it easier to squeeze. The gripper end is okay, it picks up the same way my other one does. Sometimes I feel it’s not as strong, but maybe I just need to get used to it.
For the price, this is fine for my needs. I definitely prefer my other brand and will likely not purchase another one of these in the future.

    Reacher/grabber
Works well but hand grasp is a little hard to push to grab items. Overall works as expected.

    Works Well
I guess it is just fine, is going to be a theatrical prop. Playing with it a bit when received, it does not do really well with really heavy items. For its purpose I have to say it is just fine and dandy.

I have lower back problems and ask my husband to pick up a lot of things for me. He’s patient but it must be a nuisance. So I got this gripper and it’s great. Picks up a single piece of paper or a piece of clothing. I’m surprised and very pleased.
