Best support for persons with paralysis of the hand
My husband had brain surgery. His entire right side is paralyzed. Not in the typical sense. He can feel but not able to move his right leg nor right arm or hand. In order for him to not have to be put into a nursing home because he can’t walk and I can’t carry him around we had to find another way. He has a walker with wheels in the front. This device is attached to the walker at the hand grip. Just snaps on! It’s awesome. Once the hand is in position you simply put the strap across it and it holds the hand in place as you navigate with the walker. It keeps your hand in place and keeps the use safe because the hand won’t just slide off when you are relying on it to stabilize your bodyweight as the walker is moved. Either lifting the walker or pushing the walker. It has changed my husband’s life and he is beginning to get movement. Fantastic product but ridiculous price for sure. It’s a “catch 22” for sure.

Greatly assisted mobility
This helped prevent my loved one’s wrist remain stable and as a result her walker stability is much improved and less tiring. Without it her wrists turns under so she was no longer walking in the middle of the walker, making it harder to walk, etc. She is small and I just placed it on the walker bar and as yet have not had to worry about her twisting the device. If this happens I may try using velcro to attach it or something similar.

Does not stay in place.
Didnât work for my Dad, the piece keeps moving to the sides and does not stay in place. Also, very uncomfortable for his hand.

Great invention!
Mom used this in the hospital after a stroke. When I called around to buy one and described it, most places had not heard of it. When she was using it she had almost no movement in her right hand. The Velcro on this device helped hold her hand, which had no grip, in position for learning to use a walker again. By the time she got to rehab some of the movement had returned and the PT people wanted to use the walker without this extra grip so we never used it after the hospital setting.
