Sturdy Carrier!
I originally thought my dog wouldnât fit, being that she is a 20lb Dachshund, but she fit comfortably! AND the carrier fit perfect under the airline seat (Alaska Airlines). Would recommended to anyone traveling with pets.

Almost perfect
I have a 22 lb Cockapoo mix and this was the only carrier I could find that both accommodated her weight and was large enough to zip her up inside comfortably. Our first leg of our travels was on a smaller plane (picture above), which actually ended up having more leg room than the standard 6 seat/aisle planes. Otherwise, on our longer flight, I had put the carrier short side in and the carrier was jutting out and pretty much taking up all the leg room (despite the under seat dimensions of the plane being listed as 19â x 19â).I do wish there were a couple of additional features:- expandable sides. Considering that this is pretty much the only airline approved carrier thatâs large and sturdy enough for dogs between 20-25 lb, it would be nice to give the dog a little extra room to turn and stretch out once inside- a luggage strap along one of the longer sides to use while putting the carrier on top of a suitcase- adjustable shoulder strap with padding. Iâm only 5â2â but even I found the shoulder strap to be a bit short. It also ended up bruising my shoulder given that thereâs no padding on the rope.- the top of the carrier has double zippers, but for some reason the side of the carrier only has a single which is kind of annoyingAll in all, I would use this again if I had to. I had no issue with it in our Delta flight. However, do know that the large size will take up a considerable amount of your leg room despite what Deltaâs aircraft dimensions report. I also really do wish it at the least had expandable sides.

Better than ever deisgn & outstanding customer service
This is my second purchase of a Roverlund pet carrier for my cats. It is the best carrier for overall quality construction and customer service. It wins for the best looking rugged bag BY FAR also! I had the same issue as other reviewers with my first bag purchased over a year ago collapsing on one end. I contacted Roverlund customer service and they quickly resolved the issue by sending me a simple plastic insert for the collapsing end pocket. In the meantime, I had used a stiff piece of cardboard. No big deal but I appreciated their eagerness to respond and their interest in my feedback on how to improve the carrier. The new carrier has updated design that solves this problem plus a few new upgrades.OLD vs NEW CARRIERI put my old carrier and new carrier side by side to see what is “new and improved”. Here you go!New carrier has the plastic insert already installed in the end pocket so the carrier stands up and does not collapse on our fur babyThe bag can still fold down flat for storageNew carrier has sharp looking larger heavy duty zippers .. safety first!New green fabric bands you see in the photos have replaced the black plastic bands on the rope handles and shoulder strap/leash. A beautiful upgrade. The dimensions are the same for both carriers and accurate as stated on the website. Why Zora LOVES it:She feels safe and calm going to the vet or on a planeIt is easy, not stressful, to get her loaded in gently thru the large top zippered openingShe can see out and not get naseated like with her other carriersGreat ventilation and open views OUT and IN that keep me in constant view of her and her of meRoverlund just keep getting better and better! Worth every penny.

Definitely worth the price!!
Bought this for my new pup. I travel ALOT and it was important for me to find something that is compatible for air travel (I travel mostly American Airlines as I am an employee) but also comfortable for him. His first flight in it was a 6hr flight! So I was extremely nervous about how he would do being in it for so long. I did order the large size even tho he is only 4lbs (Yorkie Schnauzer). He will only get up to max 11-12lbs but I didnât want to have to buy a bigger one once he grew. He loves his carrier. The bedding that comes with it allows you to unzip it and throw it in the washer. I also put puppy pads over it to help minimize with the waste. It is not too heavy. The over the shoulder strap is great for a leash as well so I donât have to bring his house leash with us when traveling.I do recommend buying travel collapsible bowls so you can just latch them onto the D-Ring that is on the outside. Very handy. Great design. Definitely worth having for you pet. Plus, we got so many compliments about the designð

Structured great but my dog easily chewed through the zipper
TLDR: the carrier is structured great but my dog easily chewed through the zipper track on the side and the top so the bag is unusable nowMy dog was very picky about carriers because she has a longer body and hates small spaces. The cheaper ones typically have a toxic smell. I tried out the WildOne carrier and my dog hated it because it didnât have any structure and just collapsed. My dog is a 14.5lb miniature poodle mix and was able to stretch, stand, turn, and lay down comfortably. She jumped into it immediately. The frame is really sturdy. It had a slight smell but it went away after a week. It also looks really good.Unfortunately, sheâs been able to chew the zipper on both the top opening and the side opening so itâs impossible to close the bag at this point. This happened while I was training her to get comfortable with the bag so we never got to try it out on a plane. The other limitation is the shoulder straps are a bit short for the bag to be so heavy. I would also recommend a luggage strap for the back of the bag to make it easier to carry.
