Some appreciate its functionality. However, some customers have reported that the boxes are poorly made and the lids are not nearly as sturdy. Opinions are mixed on the sturdiness and value for money.

Just the right size
These are just what I was looking for! Fit everything I need nicely. I made this 4 stars as durability isn’t the greatest but they’ll do.

Great for storage!
These are super durable. I use them to storey daughter’s clothes and toys and a million other items. They are small enough to stack in closets or garages. I like that you can see what’s inside too. The latches are very nice and easy to open

Perfect Size for What We Needed
We were using cardboard boxes to store emergency items. They were okay, but these make everything look a whole lot better, and you can see what’s inside without having to take it down and scrounge around through it.They’re more than sturdy enough to hold heavier, smaller items or a bunch of little nitnoid things. I looked at a lot of other containers, and they were either too long, too shallow, or too big. These were the Goldilocks size for what we needed, and they fit on our storage shelves. The lids are superb. Just lay them on and close the tabs, and they’re secured nice and tight.

Functionable but not perfect
I was disappointed that 3 of the 6 containers had some slight damage. They are functional but 3 of them have broken supports that hold another container in place when they are nested. It doesn’t really make much impact, however, they are a bit sharp where they snapped off and may need to be filed down so that things don’t snag. I’ve included pictures of a rectangular support that is intact, a picture of a piece broken off and lying in the bottom of the container, and a couple pictures of supports that were broken off when in the box.

Perfect size
I had some of these in the top of a closet that had tinker toys, blocks, and matchbox cars in them. They sat in the closet for years, as the kids grew up and moved away from home. We sold the home the kids grew up in, and while helping us move my daughter found the old bins in the closet, and took them with the toys in them to her house for my grandchildren to have. One day, while rearranging my grandsons room, we discovered that these bins fit perfectly in the Ikea 13 inch cubby storage shelf, and can be used instead of the cloth cubby storage containers that are sold to go with the shelves. This is great because they are sturdier, and have lids. The cost of each bin is only slightly more than the cloth storage cubby fillers sold for 13 inch cubby storage systems. In any case, we only had two of these containers, and they were over a decade old when we discovered they fit so well into this storage system. Imagine my surprise at finding the exact same containers available on Amazon.I can find the Ikea shelving units used or new for a great price, and use these bins to fill the cubbies. I’ve organized the garage, and my crafts room with these on top of having used them for the grand babies playrooms, they’re sturdy, stackable, and stand the test of time.

Great product! Will purchase again if needed.
Used these boxes for storing some clothes that I want to keep, but just needed to make some room in my closet. Although I ended up using three of the boxes for storing my clothing, the boxes were deep enough to hold about 15-16 shirts each. I like the fact that the boxes lock so that I don’t have to worry about losing the lids when I move them around. Another thing I like about these boxes is that I can stack them to conserve space on the floor of my closet.

MId Range Storage Solution – with Very Weak Handles Unfortunately
These are very large and fairly sturdy, deep and high plastic boxes to stores extra shirts, sweaters, socks, towels, what have you with matching plastic lids – and here’s the issue – pretty cheap blue plastic latches on both end which flip over once the lid is on to ‘click’ the lid shut. The box plastic is mid range which means it is fairly sturdy but it is not strong : but for the purpose it is fine. If you put a lot of heavy things in and stacked them that might be a problem for more than two or three I would wager but they go fine if you have high deep shelves (take measurements) and put them next to each other on storage shelves. The plastic latches are the issue : they are made of very thin plastic and do not totally snap the lid shut – they just close it tighter but not totally tight or clicked shut because they are weaker than the plastic lids. One box of six received had one latch broken on arrival. Amazon was nice enough to refund the price of one box affected – but they should have a deal with Rubbermaid to ship a set (6) of replaceable latches as over time there is a high risk of breakage of these latches, not the plastics boxes themselves which are otherwise seemingly fit for purpose. Rubbermaid can also make sturdier closing latches as well for the next generation of these things. Overall the size and volume of the containers worked for my purpose but I would have preferred a better quality of hinge/ closing latch as these are minimalist.

Re: Rubbermaid Cleverstore Clear 30 Qt/7.5 Gal, Pack of 6 Stackable Plastic Storage Containers with Durable Latching Clear LidsOn April 13/24 when I ordered these boxes they were $130.48/6. The first time I ordered them was this past March and they were the same price. But I noticed today the price in 3 days has jumped to 141.99. I guess like many consumers today we feel enraged at any price hikes. But there are so many inferior clear storage containers with easily broken (and broken upon delivery) latching lids. So I feel compelled to recommend these containers for the sake of others like myself who are looking for functional clear storage containers. You sense a difference as soon as the box of containers is delivered. There is a sturdy liner box safely holding the lids. And another clever cardboard liner at the bottom.I have bought 4 sets of 6, with no broken boxes or latches. And all the packaging was cardboard which can be recycled and or reused. No waste. The storage containers are even easy for arthritic hands to open and close. OK for lifting. Good stacking.Rubbermaid still makes quality products.

Muy buen tamaño, calidad y practicidad. Al ser transparentes puedes ver lo que contienen. Yo las usé para guardar los adornos de navidad, documentos y material de papelerÃa

I have an older version of these that look the same, but the older ones can handle the weight of what will fit inside them! These rubbermaid containers seem a shadow of their former selves. These bend and twist and are a pain to move around when holding anything heavier than a dry fart. The handles/latches fall off easily too (on others I had to poke holes for the pins of the latch so it would attach and actually hold the lib on). There are absolutely not worth the money.

Sturdy, beautiful storage containers, but the toxic plastic smell they emit is just unbearable. I left them air out for several days and washed them with soap and water; still after a week or two of having things closed inside, the smell of plastics became unbearable and inflitrated anything that had been stored in these container. Not really safe for things like clothes or food.
