Keeps Produce Fresh and Usable for Longer
I’m enrolled in a local farm’s weekly produce box subscription where I get freshly picked produce each week. The first week I had to throw stuff away because my storage solutions (bags) weren’t good enough. So I invested in these and they’ve made a huge difference. I have Romaine lettuce from 12 days ago that is still crisp. Strawberries kept longer than if I just put them in the fridge in in another container. I don’t wash the produce when I put in in these, I only wash as needed when I use it which is usually the key to keeping produce fresh. I’ve seen condensation on the edges and bottom of the containers, but not on the produce. The lids fasten securely and feel sturdy. The entire container feels sturdy and of quality.Some people note issues washing the containers due to the nubs on the bottom, but if you soak it in soapy water for a bit, there are no issues cleaning it. The nubs seem to be enough to keep any excess moisture separated from your produce. Now if you wash your produce and don’t dry it well enough and put it in these containers, it won’t perform as well and the nubs won’t be quite enough I don’t think. But that’s not quite what it’s designed for.These are a wonderful addition to my farm fresh produce that I get to keep it much longer. I am impressed and the price wasn’t unreasonable for the quality. I highly recommend.

These are very good at keeping my fruit and veggies fresh. I am a single person so it takes a while to use them up. I have found these containers to extend the life much longer.

These really work well in keeping fruits/veggies fresh. I learned from my own mistake though not to throw the little lid filter away. I thought I’d be able to order refills, but they don’t appear to sell them. When I tried to use my container without it, the food went bad much more quickly. Had to order a new set. Proof they do their job well!

Unexpectedly Pleasantly Surprised
As a point of reference prefacing remarks, based on how extremely unsatisfied I’ve been with the clear and red Rubbermaid storage that seem to be about all I can find, it took a lot for me to take a leap and actually purchase and try this from Rubbermaid. I was pleasantly surprised. While I prefer the T brand that a lot complain about the lid for lettuce, for those that find the T-Lid a problem? You might want to consider this. Comparing 2 heads of lettuce purchased at the same time stored in both brands side by side, same conditions, the freshness of lettuce with this is not as good as with the aforementioned competitor, but I was still pleasantly surprised. It performed quite well. (Consider this, if you only purchased one head of lettuce and only used this? You would probably not notice a difference. So far, this has been a 2 and a half week comparison, and both are still fresh. Only one head of lettuce would have been gone before now.) Factor in price compared with performance, for a lot of people, they might find this a very acceptable alternative to the more expensive.

The produce stays fresh for a long time. We use a lot of green onions and fresh parsley and they are difficult to keep fresh and crisp. But this product does extend the life for sure. I also noticed our spinach and argula salad greens are lasting a lot longer too.I also like that you do not need to replace the filter. Plus they are stackable and fit on the shelves of our counter depth fridge. The lids snap on for a good fit but are not hard to remove.I was hesitant about the “bubbles” on the bottom of the container, not believing they would work that well. But they do and because it is integrated into the container it is one less piece to clean and maintain.I have not put the containers in the dishwasher, preferring to wash by hand, because they don’t get that dirty. The bubbles at the bottom are not a big deal but you just have to make sure you have cleaned around them. It is well worth the effort.

Wanted a tupperware lettuce crisper for the fridge, but could not find one, these rubbermaid boxes came from the USA, nice and easy as well as being quick from Amazon. They do what I wanted and keep my lettuces crisper for longer in the fridge also works for soft fruit and I am very happy with them. They are quite bulky, but then, so is a lettuce, so not an issue for me.

I buy in bulk, and this product has allowed keeping my food staying fresh for extended periods of time. If you eat a lot of salad, this is the product for you. You an organic soak to wash the pesticides, and then you can have the leaves sit in the container and be guaranteed a nice healthy crunch
