It’s finally time for Hiral to return to Fallen Reach and show his enemies just how far he’s come.

After saving the world in the undead city, Hiral and his remaining party members race toward Fallen Reach.

Their numbers are shrinking, but their power has only grown: at nearly C-Rank, they can crush armies.

Yet challenges still wait ahead, including a familiar Infested that hungers for revenge … and powerful Makers that might not react well to the Everfail’s return.

But Hiral’s enemies don’t know one important detail: he is not the same person who jumped from the islands.

The Everfail is no more, and he is going to show those who’d harm his home and loved ones just how overpowered he has become.

Excellent Read, Can’t Recommend Highly Enough!
I love this book—and this series!—soooo much. This book was written as a sort of finale for the first set of arcs. The characters achieve a major goal they’ve been working towards for a while. It was EXTREMELY satisfying to read it happen! There is one particular, very sad part, but don’t quit reading because it isn’t the end! Trust me, you’ll be glad you continued. You should definitely read this book and all the Rune Seeker books—they’re spectacular!!!!!

A little over the top at times, but a nice closure for the trilogy
I received the first two books in the series as part of a Humble Bundle, and book two left the series off at an uncomfortable cliff hanger. So, as was probably the publisher’s intent, I felt compelled to read book three.Bottom-line, Up-front it was a fun romp, and the trilogy ends at a nice stopping point. There is a sense of completion at the end of this book, basically the characters could live out there lives without any dire threats to anyone’s existence. (I’ve since found out that another, very short book, is coming out as four out of three for the trilogy just in time for the holidays this year. The ending for book three was good enough that I do not feel compelled to buy the very short book four.) As a parent and grandparent, I can certify that this book is family safe. There is some violence, but it is Harry Potter level, not Game of Thrones level. If you have not read the first two books, please stop, and go read those first. Some series don’t rely on building up knowledge from one book to the next, but in this case you really need to read the first two books to have any idea of what is going on.The party members from the first two books are dropping like flies, and as this book starts we are down to three point of view characters. We finally figure out what is going on with Fallen’s Reach and what the danger is.The party completes a series of wild dungeons to get the information they need to fix the problem.** Spoilers Follow **Vicks is back as an infested, and he means to destroy Fallen Reach and welcome the Squids/the Enemy as the true rulers of the World. Harold does one reckless thing after another, almost dying three times, and finally the party is able to defeat the very overpowered Vicks, an Enemy, and an awakened Fallen.Honestly, it was very, very hard to maintain the suspension of disbelief because of the unbelievably horrible situations the party got into. The book was more akin to Buster Krabbe in the 1930s Flash Gordon series than modern fantasy literature. The book and the series get high marks for world building. The authors did a good job of immersing the reader in their creation. The dialogue was a bit limited. The characters spoke “flatly” about a zillion times too many, and it was a trope that Harold was always going to do something “reckless” to save the day.By the end of the book, the good guys won, and I am satisfied enough with the results that I don’t feel a need to continue the series. I am not walking away because the books were bad. I am walking away because everything I have cared about in the previous two books was resolved adequately.(My gut says that the author always intended this as a trilogy and when the shekels started rolling in, he elected to write a quick, short book four. That is a guess, but an educated one.)

    Da Full Circle
The last two books, to me personally, were a bit slow. Not the worst thing in the world, but I’m a fast paced kind of guy. The benefit of that though was how much was snuck right under my nose for a pay off in this book. Stuff all the way from the first 20 chapters of book 1 came right back around for some pretty huge moments. So much vindication and excitement, exactly how a climax should be written! Book 1 and 2 were good and only served to make book 3 an even better story.

Well thought plot and story, fast paced and interesting, with great characters. The only slight negative is a bit too much repeat of the status screens … Maybe modify it to be more compact.Looking forward to the next book.
