Update: I was adding more tape to more of these and noticed my fingers felt weirdly dry. Then I had a thought about the discolored areas, tried wiping 1 of them with a damp cloth, and saw that the areas that looked non holographic are actually covered in some kind of powder! I would never have imagined that’s what was causing it. So I guess if you want that off, you have to wipe down every butterfly.Original review:I just moved and my daughter and I both wanted a cute decoration to put in our rooms, so I got these. I already knew I wasn’t going to use the glue dots that came with it (so I can’t speak to how those hold), just to he safe on our rented walls. I have nano tape I’ve cut to use on these, which worked well so far. The general color is very pretty, but what I didn’t expect was that all of them would have a bunch of areas where the color looks likes it worn or burned off. My guess is that perhaps in the process of laser cutting the designs, it may get hot enough to wear off the areas of hologram color near the cutting. Random guess there though! Since we won’t be staring at these up close very often, it’s not a huge issue, and they look very pretty up on the wall! In fact, when on the wall and light shines on them I can’t see the areas where it looks different at all. If I need to buy butterflies again in the future I will most likely just choose a non holographic color. They are a good enough quality material that they aren’t tearing or bending where they shouldn’t be. The cuts are perfectly precise and they are the exact designs shown in the product images.

I bought these for my baby shower for our daughter. They were absolutely beautiful high quality and a great addition to our shower! I also be putting Lisa in my daughter’s room on her walls when she gets a little older as well! I love things that I can use over and over and these are it! I highly recommend! Both the gold and rose gold are gorgeous!
