I love how simple this was to assemble and how it has all the features I need. Pay Attention to the directions and don’t put heavy books in the folder slots…
I saw this online and thought it would be great, then I read the reviews and there were complaints about it doesn’t assemble easy, the pins are too small, it’s not sturdy enough etc.I ordered it anyway thinking eh, I got a 50/50 shot.It comes, I open it, everything comes out, a pack of hardware, a pack of dividers, 3 flat shelf things 2 side brackets a plastic drawer and 3 file folder dividers (Yes, I said file folder dividers, remember that for later)I started putting it together to see how it fits and then I remembered, WAIT… a lot of reviews complained about it not fitting together properly. So I stopped myself and went to the instructions. The instructions are simple enough, printed on the front and back. No, not that sheet that tells you to put the black pin IN the white brace in the hole. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIDES OF THE SHELVES there are 3 flat pieces that all have different edges, 1 is for holding up the FILE DIVIDERS.Ok, so , I begin putting it together. Yes, the parts are going to easily warp, its mesh aluminum on aluminum or tin frames, what did you expect?I put the slats for FOLDERS on first. There’s 3 with 2 walls to make 5 spaces for FOLDERS. You match it over the hole, then put the white brace ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE 2 HOLES, then you put the black pin IN THE WHITE BRACE, push it all the way down and it will make the white brace split at the bottom, this is supposed to happen, don’t be afraid. This is what holds it down, do that for the rest of them.Then you have to put the sides on the shelves.Follow the instructions, it’s pretty easy, there’s pictures. The drawer is pre-assembled. Now, In some of the reviews there were people complaining about sturdiness and then put heavy books in the file organizer. Guys… it’s not a book shelf, it’s an office/home office stationary organizer with file folder dividers on top. That’s for NOT HEAVY BOOKS. Maybe one or 2 normal paperbacks in the middle, but jeez I seen some pictures with like heavy books that almost take up the whole slot. That’s not what this is for, if you want a bookcase, go buy a bookcase.Is it good for the price? YESIs it sturdy enough for thick and/or hard covered books? NOWill it work for folders, files, post its, paper clips, pens, pencils, scissors, etc? YESIs this like the same one I saw in Target and Walmart but cheaper? YES

Assembly is pretty easy. Holds most of what it looks like in the pictures. The drawer and pen caddy are noticeably made of very cheap plastic but I donât think I can complain because the price was decent. The drawer is not anchored to the back so it slides out awkwardly. This could be fixed by tying a string of some sort to the back of it and drilling or cutting a hole in the back of the drawer. The drawer doesnât seem quite as big as it looks in the picture but itâs still very adequate for a whole bunch of office supplies.It works for my purposes but I wouldnât recommend it if you want your desk to look classy. Still, itâs better than a bunch of stacks of paper, folders, pens, rubber bands, and boxes of paper clips all over your desk or taking up space in an unorganized desk drawer.My rating takes price into account. Otherwise I would have given three stars. I donât hate it, but I was a little worried about breaking the pen caddy while assembling because it was so flimsy at the attachment point. Absolutely no issues whatsoever since assembly. They even included extra screws. Thatâs always appreciated.

Works like a dream!
I just started my own business and I run it out of my home. Since I don’t have a dedicated office, my computer desk currently lives in my living room. This desk organizer helps me keep my file folders that I use often right at hand. I have a little bit of ocd when it comes to writing instruments so I have A LOT. The added pencil holder that attached to the side is very helpful at keeping my favorite pens, markers, highlighters, letter opener, scissors, and staple remover readily available. I use the shelf to keep a backup ream of paper on hand and I use the drawer compartments for all of my small office supplies. It was ceryl easy to put together that I am 100% confident that my ten year old son could have put it together in about five minutes. I wish it came in white to match the color theme of my “office” but even though it doesn’t I would definitely buy another when I expand the business! Jump on this item because it’s absolutely perfect.

Just like the headline says, everything is now in its place. This Simple Houseware Mesh Desk Organizer has a tray that has a drawer that slides out and has dividers so you can make the spaces to your liking. It hides all my extra stuff like post-it notes, binder clips, paper clips, my name stamp and ink pad, and even some lifesavers that my co-workers don’t know about. It also has a tray where I can put my “High Priority” paperwork, and 5 upright sections for the files that I’m working on at the moment. This desk organizer has made my work world much more organized and efficient. Highly recommend!

My 15 year built it and he put it together is less than 10 minutes. The item I received was well built and there were not unpolished corners nor faulty paint. I noticed some buyers mentioned that it was hard to build; my advise is to not rush into it and just read the instructions.
