The Pee Post® uses Mother Nature’s own trigger, pheromones, to prompt your pet’s natural response to eliminate. Good Human Idea
The Simple Solution Pee Post is a good idea from a human perspective. I inserted the post in a part of the yard that I wanted to be used as ‘the’ area and they didn’t even sniff it as something new, let alone as an attractant. The package lists about ‘pee here’ technology and descriptions list is a training device that “teaches your pet to urinate in a specific area of your yard”. NOT TRUE. You can teach your dog to use it but you have to do just that…take the dog to the post until it goes, everytime you want it to go there, until it understands it is on the ‘marking’ route. My dogs have this as one of many places in the yard that they use. So it didn’t work here and was a waste of my money.

My Dog pees
My dog can pee outside because she smelled this. It smells horrible honestly but it works if youâre trying to get your dog to pee outside

Did not work. At all.
I have a 4-month old Frenchie and we are trying to potty train him. He gets distracted easily, so I thought that this may remind him why we went outside in the first place. He has sniffed at it a few times over the past week, but it never enticed him to potty.

Great toy!
I was going to give this 1 star for being completely useless for being a tool for encouraging my puppy to pee in a specific place but I decided to go with 3 stars because he loves playing with it. Great toy to dig up and play with!

Did not work
My dog was not interested in this AT ALL. We adopted my dog in Jan 2020 (1 year old) while we lived in an apartment. In April 2021 we bought a house with a yard that my dog REFUSED to pee in. Iâm unsure if this was due to the fact that walks meant going potty back at the apartment, but I bought this in hopes it might urge him to use the backyard. Nope. My dog was also about 3 years old by the time I discovered this so he may have been too old to be trained with it? Unsure. I just know it was a waste of money for me.

Doesnât work
Well, like others, I fell for this despite the bad reviews. It hits the sweet spot where itâs cheap enough that if it doesnât work- oh well. Also more of a pain to return than just tossing in trash. We adopted a Rottweiler/Australian Cattle dog mix. Incredible / wonderful dog. Only âissueâ is he will not go to the bathroom within 100 yards of my house (live in city). Most of the time itâs fine – we both could use a good walk. However, some days Iâm in a hurry or not feeling well. We have a small fenced yard, and I really want him to just go in the yard. He refuses. He loves marking his territory around the hood, so took a chance that this product would tempt him to go in the yard. He sniffed it once but it didnât cause him to want to mark over it, and heâs never sniffed again. Same story as all the reviews.Oh well, figured it was a bust, but worth the shot in hopes it would help my dog go at our house. He still will not!Oh well, at least Iâve lost 6 pounds last couple months from all the walks!

Worthless
Does not do as advertised. I have two dogs and neither one is attracted to the smell of the spike. I have walked them with their harness to the area I installed the spike and they never stopped once to smell or urinate.

Itâs just a plastic stick! I thought it had some sort of smell to it to attract my dog to go to itâ¦but nooo!! So total waste of money!

My 4 year old small male dog goes outside all the time as he is trained already. He loves marking every post when he goes on a walk to tell the world his small body owns the neighborhood. I needed him to pee in one spot in our yard and since I cant move fire hydrant into our yard, I decided to give this a try even though reviews were bad. The reviews were CORRECT. The stick was smelly to our human noses but I guess it does not get noticed by dogs or something which I thought was very odd. My dog totally ignores it and goes other places to pee. This is garbage and total waste of money. It destroyed my hope. I will have to pour water everywhere he pees from now. People please DO NOT GET TEMPTED TO TRY THIS. It just does NOT work.

When I took it out from the case, it smelled so bad, but it didnât attract my dog. Didnât work for us.
