Expensive, but worth every penny…
This is the fanciest dog food bin I’ve ever used, but since I already own a Simplehuman stainless steel trash can, I knew I would be getting my money’s worth with this purchase. My bin arrived in perfect condition, no dents, and double boxed. A quick wash of the inner liner (something I truly do appreciate for dog food!), and the bin was ready for use. I’ve always used a Rubbermaid type bin for my dog’s food, but this year, we had a problem with ants, so I needed an airtight bin. Because my dog food bin resides at the end of my kitchen island, it also needed to look decent while serving its purpose. Enter Simplehuman. They make seriously amazing products that look good and function perfectly. The fact that they also give a generous warranty speaks to the quality of their products. I’ve had this bin for a few weeks now, and I feel pretty confident about the following:- I love the magnetic scoop in the lid. Simple. Works (oh and thanks for the 1/2 cup measurement on it, too!)- Latch & locking mechanism are simple and easy to operate (even for me first thing in the morning, coffee or not!)- Rear wheels are nice for the humans to move the bin, but make it harder for my 55 pound bull terrier to do so on her own (her previous favorite pastime was pushing the rubbermaid bin around with her nose).- The bin liner makes it easy to clean both the outside AND inside (and if the food gets hard to reach at the bottom, I can just pull the liner up — yes, I’m short and have a relatively short reach).- I only wish it had the same slow-closing, non-slamming feature that is on my trash can lid. Other than that, this bin is perfect! I imagine I will have it for many years to come.The only thing that remains to be seen is just how airtight the bin is. It certainly meets all of my expectations for a Simplehuman product, though!

Best Purchase Ever!
I couldn’t wait to write this review. This is the best purchase I’ve made in a long time. I love it! I ordered the XL size and had to return it for the L. I have two cats and neither will eat what they perceive to be “stale” kibble. I had kibble bags stacked all over my small kitchen having to re-roll and reseal them everytime I fed the girls (which means dishing out small quantities several times during the day). It was a pain. Something had to be done. I’ve tried the plastic type but it didn’t keep the kibble fresh, plus it never held all the kibble I would by to buy in order to get a better price. Then I discoverd this baby. Whoever designs or this company didn’t just design something to sell, they designed it to meet a specific need and they produce the design in various sizes. This product is quality. Stainless steel; looks nice in my kitchen and cleans up all those bags; has an air tight seal to keep the kibble fresh so no need to roll out and re-roll and seal those many bags; has a scoop readily available so I’m not searching for a scoop; it has convenient handles on both ends and rollers on the bottom so it’s easy to lift (even filed with kibble) and to move from one room to another for cleaning. Quite frankly, it couldn’t be more appropriate nor could it be better made. I am delighted!!!! I filled it almost all the way up with 28 pounds of kibble (equivalent to two large bags of kibble). If you don’t have this, GET it in the size that is appropriate for your need. If you have a big dog, don’t hesitate to get the XL. For cat owners, I’d recommend the L. I WILL be ordering from this company again. I like their designs and products and their focus on quality, use and appearance for users of all types. BUY IT!

This is the very best pet food container I could find out there. It’s air tight, holds enough food for our Golden Retriever for a month and looks great sitting out to boot.I did a lot of research (as you’re probably doing now) before purchasing. It’s an investment, after all, and you want something to last and last.Things I love most:1. The measuring (exactly one cup) holder is stored by a magnet under the lid. Handy & clever, eh?2. Wheels on the back. I just lift the front and the wheels allows me to turn it from under the counter to open and use. I have a bad back at the moment so appreciate the thoughtful design. Easily moves where ever you like.3. The handle is really cool. Easy to open, easy to close. Yet the dog can’t get into it. Kudos to the inventor of that one!4. It’s pretty. It’s a good quality stainless steel (one of my big concerns before receiving it) It’s modern. It’s a work of art (in my opinion).If you’re looking for the best, then here it is. The price is right, the delivery was fine and no regrets. We’ve had it for several months now. Go get it.

Nice dog food case
I live in an RV full time and while I have one of those nylon plastic dog food containers with the screw on lid I wanted something a little nicer that didn’t have to bend over so far to get and this seemed like a good one to get. It’s expensive and like all of their stuff easily damaged as it’s thin metal but mine came without any damage and it works great. I like the plastic liner that can be lifted out to be cleaned there is a scoop in the lid that I haven’t used yet it seemed like it has a good seal. I’m not sure if it’s airtight I have no way of checking but all in all it other than the cost is in excellent way to store dog food. It holds 25 lb of orijen, my German shepherds preferred dog food, with a few inches to spare. Anything more than that and you would need the bigger model. I’m sure that mine is going to get battered and bruised over the years but as long as it keeps a good seal I’ll be happy with it.

Der Artikel ist alles andere als günstig- und dennoch bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Kauf.Ich habe im laufe der Jahre schon einige futtertonnen gekauft und immer bin ich unzufrieden gewesen.Das ist bei diesem Artikel ganz anders.Super edles Design und sehr hochwertig verarbeitet .Praktisch ist es auch durch die Rollen , und die dosierhilfe .SchlieÃt absolut dicht , keine Gerüche wahrnehmbar-mein Hund zeigt keine Interesse an die Tonne.Steht bei uns in der Küche,bei diesem Design-kein Problem.Dazu sehr pflegeleicht.Passen 12 Kilo trocken Futter rein, und es ist noch nicht randvoll.Trotz des hohes Preises-wurde ich es weiterempfehlen.
