best book for sweets that ate good for you
This book is great. Even though I am Heather’s Mom I was not able to access her treasure trove of goodies until she sold her share of the Sweet Freedom Bakery and wrote this book. One of my many favorites are the Carmel, Chocolate Salted Bars , Chocolate chip peppermint cookies ( I make them as an ice cream sandwich) and any of the donuts. I bring some of these things to events and everyone loves them. Thanks Heather for helping me to get over my sweet tooth.

This is THE book for anyone trying to eat healthy & not exist exclusively on salads & quinoa. Heather Esposito makes baking without dairy, eggs & gluten doable and the variety of breads, muffins & cakes is pretty surprising. Yes, there are some ingredients that were new to me but how & why to use each was explained…as well as where to purchase! There is no guesswork with these recipes. Next recipe on my list? The coconut lime cupcake or maybe the salty chocolate caramel coconut dream bars or the pumpkin donut or the orange cranberry bread…..

Great book full of great delicious recipes and tips!
I bought this book because of an interest in gluten free eating, but it’s great for even those not following a G-free diet. It has a lot of basic information about gluten free ingredients, I specially liked the list of purveyors and links to the sites as I live in a rural area. It’s a great book to add to a more healthy living cookbook collection.

and more…I love the combination of ingredients! Who would have through of superfine brown rice sugar in frosting?! Just the right amount of clever sweetness, pleasure to bake. Thank you!
