Love my Smith
I’m a woman and just recently got into mountain biking and was looking for a good quality helmet that didn’t look gigantic on my head. This is it! I love the matte black color, although they have a lot of cool color options that I was tempted to buy. It fits well and secure. Is very light weight overall. I have ridden for about an hour or two max so far and have not had any discomfort. It does sometimes leave an imprint on my forehead which is no fun but that can be with a lot of good fitting helmets. Overall, I love the size and shape. I feel like sometimes mountain bike helmets can be rather large and make your head seem large and goofy. This one does not give that look. It’s also a Smith which is known for quality helmets so the price was good,

Comfy, nice visor w/ 3 positions
All good. Fits to size. Great value. My old Spesh helmet had a detachable visor for road vs mtb rides. Thought Iâd miss that but the 3 position visor works really well and looks good.
Customer Review –
Great helmet. It DOES have koroyd tech.
The koroyd part is only in a few spots, but it is definitely there. Great helmet, I took a fall already and luckily didnât hit my head, but the helmet was secure and comfortable the whole time. So lightweight you barely even feel it.

Best helmet I’ve owned
Bought this helmet recently to replace an aging Lazer helmet prior to a 5-day 150 mi ride. No accidents with that previous helmet, but you should replace them every 5 years anyhow. I have been an equestrian and cyclist for about 30 years now and have most certainly been through many helmets… Probably close to 50?Lazer, bell, giro, Charles Owen, Tipperary, troxel, etc etc etc. This is The most comfortable helmet I’ve ever owned. I noticed zero fit issues whatsoever. I was able to tuck my long hair into a loose ponytail and it easily came out the space between the dial adjustment and the bottom of the occipital area of the helmet. It was very cool and comfortable even in 90° heat. Stays in place very nicely and is easy to adjust. The only grump I have with it is with the under chin buckle… I do wish that it were a little bit better quality and maybe a one-handed type. Overall, Highly recommend this helmet!

Nice, light helmet but one (personal) flaw
I really liked the way this helmet looks and it is pretty light on your melon. There seems to be pretty good ventilation as well. The visor works well and was just right for me. Overall the helmet fit me great and felt good with one exception. I had to return this helmet because I found the plastic ratcheting adjustment part in the back wasnât comfortable for me. To get the helmet to that just right tension between too loose and too tight I would feel the plastic, particularly the edges, pushing into my skin a bit. It was really a shame and disappointing that I had to return it due to this as I liked everything else about it quite a bit. Itâs too bad that Smith kind of cheaped out on the adjustment piece by not adding just a bit of cushion or padding. I keep my hair on the shorter side so that probably didnât help it in this case, but if you have longer hair it may not be an issue. Ultimately I made sure my next dome came with padding of some sort on this mechanism.
