My puppy loves having this!
This snuggle puppy is amazing! The heartbeat is soothing and can be motion activated. There is room in it for a heat pack, and it is comforting for my puppy at bedtime. Every little bit helps!

No longer a skeptic
Our Portuguese Water Dog pup is now 7 months old. She has had her snuggle puppy by her side every night since she was a little more than 8 weeks old. As other reviewers have indicated, our pup adores her snuggle puppy and does not chew it or destroy it the way she does other toys. She brings it to bed with her and covets it they way a child would a precious teddy bear or blanket. It’s really kind of amazing, and I certainly did not believe the review when I read them. I am no longer a skeptic. All I can say is “try it”.We used the heating pads for the first month or so (we purchased the generic brand and they worked just fine), and we replaced the battery in the heartbeat once. The heartbeat no longer works (the batteries don’t last that long), but that’s no longer a necessity.I highly recommend the Snuggle Puppy.

Bought the Snuggle Puppy for the new Nini Bernedoodle I will be getting very soonâ¦â¦I had bought one 2 yrs ago for my 1stMBD and she still sleeps with it so I didnât have the heart to take it away from here and give it to here little Sisterâ¦.Works fabulousâ¦Gives them the body warmth they need and the feeling of having a sibling and closeness to their mother when first in a new home.

Puppy loves it (even 8 months later)
Heat packs are similar to âhand warmersâ. Made me nervous in a toy given to a young puppy. (Chewing). The heart beat could be heard outside of the stuffed animal and appeared to give comfort. Eventually, puppy figured out how to get the âheartbeatâ out, but it certainly did help in the first few weeks at home.Seems kind of expensive for what it is. (Stuffed animal toy with a pocket velcroed shut.) Will pass along to a friend getting a new puppy.

Our puppy mill mama loves it!
We rescued a 7 year old puppy mill mama and her anxiety, as you can imagine, was off the charts. She took to this instantly and I think it really helped her through the first couple of weeks. She sleeps soundly and I love the auto on feature. Itâs very easy to operate and clean and there are heat packs that are biodegradable which is great!

Not safe for my particular puppy
My 9 week old 9 pound puppy had this for less than 5 minutes before he started to rip and chew the ears off. I had to remove it for his safety. Later that night while trying to sleep, I could hear the obnoxious fake heartbeat. The speed of the beat is nothing like a dog’s heartbeat. It should be marketed as a children’s toy and even then I question the safety for children and it should have an appropriate age safety requirement. Maybe less rambunctious puppies have taken to one of these, but not the breed I have.

I brought home an 8 week pup who has never been crate trained. I was prepared for long nights trying to soothe my little guy. But it was such a smooth transition thanks to this snuggle puppy. I put it in with my pup at bedtime and only one night did he wake up through the night, and that was the first night. He settled in quickly and went right to sleep. Great product!
