The Hybrid Hunter features a fat-bodied, flat-sided shape with a unique “L-Shaped” 90-degree bill. Combined, these features create a hard thumping, exaggerated hunting action with an extremely loud rattle that causes fish to strike with a vengeance. Thanks to the shape of the body, the unique lip design and the buoyancy of the bait, Strike King pro staffer Todd Castledine said that it is more than a crankbait. “There’s no other bait like it on the market,” said Castledine. “It can work effectively in situations many anglers throw a lipless crankbait, a jerkbait, a crankbait or a swimbait.” The Hybrid Hunter baits are designed to be fished on heavy line and perform best in the 1 to 5-foot of water range.

Great Lure.
Caught multiple bass on this lure. It was the only thing they were biting on the 2 days I was out on the lake. While everyone else was getting skunked I was pulling in fish.

Good lure
Well built. Bigger than it looks. Very loud.

Great Action!
These Hybrid Hunters are all over the place! They have a loud rattle and they will back out of trouble and raise to the surface if you stop reeling! I’ve tried both the standard size and the junior size on 4 different lakes with no strikes. I still have faith in them and I’m still learning the lure myself, but I can’t give it that 5th star until I know it will catch fish!

Don’t believe the web site as to weight
At the web site, I chose the “2.5-Ounce” weight but the two lures I received each weigh 23 grams – which is 8/10s of ONE ounce. The Strike King package insert also incorrectly says the lure weighs “2.5-Ounce.”Thatâs deceptive advertising.

Works Great
My first catch on this little beauty was a 34 inch Tigger Musky. I was targeting bass but this one made my day.

Catches fish and versatile!
I caught a nice bucket mouth the very first cast! Great around wood, grass, shallow flats and even as a jerk bait!! It is an ugly little thing but so far I am loving it!

Different hooks
Was really excited to get this due to all the reviews. When I looked carefully at it, the tail hook was considerably smaller than the belly hook.
