Lives up to the hype
This is a beautiful almond fragrance. It opens with a sweet almond and slight cinnamon note. Orange blossom comes in the mid with a faint rose very far in the background. I donât care for rose fragrances but this is not at all prominent. It adds just a bit of depth. Tonka and vanilla round out this stunning blend.To me, this is more of a fall and winter fragrance.I got this in May. It smelled like pure alcohol when I first got it. I was a little worried. I have many Middle Eastern fragrances and I know they need to macerate but havenât had one that smelled so strongly of alcohol and nothing else. This had to macerate for a good 4 months to get to where it now smells absolutely amazing. I always like to put this reminder in my reviews of Middle Eastern perfume. They need to macerate. Some only take a few days but others might take several months.I give this a 10 for fragrance10 for strength. Iâm an over sprayer but you truly only need 4 sprays max with this one10 for projection. People will smell you!This is one of my favorite blind buys.

All of the perfumes and colognes from this brand smell amazing! They’re fragrances are unique and timeless. I find myself purchasing them over and over again. They last so long on your skin and clothes, and gets you complimented everywhere that you go. The value is good. The silliage is amazing. Smells nice and rich
It reminds me a bit of TF Lost Cherry. If you are familiar with Shagraf Oud, you will smell it in the distance. The lasting power is pretty good IF you overspray, and its noticeable. I could it smell it on me throughout the day, and I smelled the vanilla and warm sweet notes, however my daughter who knows about perfume said I smelled like I was wearing cologne. Not the compliment I wanted as I am a woman, but every nose is different. One thing I will say, is that you can smell the middle eastern vibes in this one. So if that is not your jam, you might want to reconsider.

***This is a review for BOTH Shaghaf Oud and Oud Aswad (gold bottle, black bottle)***Shaghaf Oud (gold bottle) is a perfect fragrance for women like myself who aren’t into the fruity florals constantly being marketed to us. Smooth, rich, warm, and definitely gourmand, this is a beautiful addition to my accumulation of Arabian oud-based perfumes. I can’t stop smelling myself when I wear this. The saffron opening and subtle oud in the background add depth and keep you from smelling completely like a bakery, but you WILL smell edible nonetheless. Apparently the sillage and projection aren’t bad either, since strangers have walked up to me in stores and complimented me on it. As to longevity, I can wear this all day, jump in the pool for an hour, and still catch whiffs on my skin afterward.For me, Shaghaf Oud is late afternoon sun and warm summer nights. Seductive is its middle name. Fans of amber, tonka bean, and of course oud will enjoy this.Another, similar fragrance is Lattafa’s Oud Mood, but I have both because the latter has a delightfully subtle floral opening and the woodiness is more present all the way through the drydown. Also, Oud Mood doesn’t last as long and wears a bit more lightly if you’re afraid of overwhelming people with the Shaghaf.If you’re looking for a more pronounced woodiness though, check out Lattafa’s Raghba Wood Intense for all of the gourmand but also lots of smoke, spice, and more pronounced oud. I have all three.For a more oriental, slightly (but not cloyingly) berry note, go for the Shaghaf Oud Aswad (black bottle). That’s beautiful as well, a bit like Narciso Rodriguez’ original black bottle (“Her”) and Jesus del Pozo’s now-discontinued In Black.The oud sits in the background of this fragrance as well, and Aswad overall has a much different mood to it. Some may find it a bit heavy, for night, or more for colder weather, but I wear fragrance based on what I’m feeling, not time or season. It is definitely not for the 20’s set, as it is way too nuanced to appeal to young noses.The opening is floriental with a bit of fruity undertone- my nose isn’t sophisticated enough to pick up on what fruit, exactly. It has the characteristic woodiness that should be there in any perfume that has “oud” in the name. It doesn’t last as long as the gold bottle, but the projection is every bit as mighty.When you want to smell like a grown woman but aren’t going for the edible, gourmand component, wear the Aswad. I wear the gold bottle more frequently, but when I’m feeling the black bottle, I can’t stop smelling myself with that one on either. They are different, but equally worthy, additions to any fan of ouds.No idea how either of these wear on men, I can only speak from my own standpoint. A good fragrance is a good fragrance no matter who wears it, in my opinion.

This gives Old Money Making New Money!
It smells like the royal family in the flesh. When it dries down itâs deep, and very memorable. One spray on the wrist and if itâs too strong for your taste, layer it with a lighter scent and it will blend effortlessly. It smells like my grandparents perfume cologne mixed with money like rich and wealthy. If you like deep musk scents then you will absolutely love it. I love it. I also layer with my vanilla and omg. Itâs definitely high quality and I could still smell it even after my shower. Definitely a good Fall/ Winter Base scent. I will order the other scents by this company. 10/10

Forget the for “Men”, this is a fantastic Unisex scent!
Bright, crisp and fresh, this scent is definitely suitable for both men and women. There’s no sharpness, spicy or super woody notes that would scream masculine. I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten while wearing this scent. As someone with an extensive fragrance collection, I find myself reaching for this one often during the warm months. Oh and did I mention, the longevity on this is epic! I cannot believe this scent hasn’t gone TikTok viral yet, but I’m so glad it hasn’t because the price is unbeatable and all the scents that influencers push drive up in price with the greater demand.

Headache in a bottle
The perfume is sooo strong it gave me a headache immediately. It was hard to wear. The oud is very strong, if you like oud, you’ll love this. Definitely a feminine scent, because of the high notes of vanilla and honey. It will cover any scent you’re wearing. It’s not even usable for layering. I have it 3 stars because it stays on forever. I just wish it was lighter on the oud. BTW, the bottle is just cheap bright yellow color looking. It will sit in my closet forever.
