Brushing my dog’s teeth proves to be a big challenge and I was happy to find a product that looked easy enough to help me clean his teeth.My dog has to eat canned (soft) food so his teeth get food build up and he tends to have bad plaque. My dog tolerated me trying this out but he still isn’t a fan of anyone coming near his teeth. I was pleased to see some discoloration on the wipe indicating that some stuff was removed but overall, if your pet has plaque build up, this will not remove it. I can see this being used for maintenance after your pet has had professional teeth cleaning.The wipes are pre-moistened and I they didn’t have any kind of oder. Although I had a little difficulty getting my finger into the pocket (opening is slightly narrow), I was able to get to the back teeth in my dog’s mouth. I rubbed across the upper gums and teeth first and then flipped the wipe over and proceeded to the bottom gums and teeth.I will continue to use this daily since it does remove some food. I have found myself cleaning his teeth everyday versus the 3 times a week that I was doing with a doggy toothbrush.

Convenient for Me, Okay for Cat
I’ve had cats in the past with teeth issues later in life, so I decided to try to prevent those problems with my current cat, who is 2.5 years old. I thought these wipes would be a good way to keep his teeth cleaner.To open the container, you need to remove a plastic strip. When closing it, make sure you “feel” the snap close, or the wipes will dry out. The smell is very mildâeven my cat didn’t react much to it. While he wasn’t thrilled about getting his teeth cleaned and tried pulling away when I started, he didn’t hiss or try to injure me, which is a positive sign. Naturally, he would prefer I never do this again, but that’s just how cats are.After cleaning, the wipe had some residue on it, indicating it does work to some degree. I’m not sure if it’s only removing the most recent build-up or if it’s also taking off older build-up. Regardless, any removal is beneficial. My cat didn’t immediately go drink water or eat something afterward, suggesting he wasn’t completely grossed out by it.Overall, these wipes are pretty good if you can get your cat or dog to tolerate them. They’re a convenient way to keep up with daily teeth cleansing. However, if your pet already has severe teeth issues, these wipes probably won’t be sufficient.

Works exactly as expected
They work exactly as you would expect. Place it on your finger, then fight dog to stick finger in their mouth and brush their teeth. Or better yet, try it with a cat. Aside from cleaning their teeth, it can also be used to wipe the inside of their ears. Definitely a worthwhile item to have around to help maintain your beloved pets health and I do recommend them to anyone.

Convenient but Not Perfect
My wife says: I got these teeth cleaners for my chihuahuas, hoping to head off tooth decay, as chihuahuas are known for having notoriously bad teeth. One of my dogs tolerated the wipes reasonably well, but the other nearly took my hand off, so it’s a mixed bag for me.For my dog who allowed me to use the wipes, they worked well enough after supper to remove any food that had stuck to his teeth. However, the wipes don’t seem designed to remove prior plaque and tartar buildup, which was disappointing. Still, they might help prevent additional plaque from forming.I appreciate the convenience factor. The wipes are pre-moistened and ready to use, which makes them a grab-and-go solution for quick dental care. Their small size and flexibility are also a plus, as they make reaching the crowded teeth at the back of my dog’s mouth easier.Overall, while these wipes are convenient and easy to use, they are only a partial solution for dental care. They work well for daily maintenance but won’t replace a thorough cleaning by a vet or more intensive dental products. If your dog is more cooperative than mine, these could be a useful addition to your pet care routine.

theyre ok but too small
i like the idea of using these to clean my cats teeth, however i do think these are pretty small for my fingers. it takes me about 30 seconds just to put it on my finger. and i find these easier to use when i have one on my index and another on my thumb, so that makes it take even longer. i wish they were bigger. if they were it would be 5 stars

Trying to get a toothbrush into my Australian Shepherds mouth is almost impossible. These finger sleeves are much easier for cleaning your dog’s teeth as you can control your finger much more easily than a toothbrush. I find cleaning her teeth at night when she is falling asleep works best for us as she is most relaxed and docile. Go slow at the beginning and don’t expect to clean all your dog’s teeth at once in one go. It takes time for them to get used to it.The sleeves are moist, and the pack is reminiscent of baby wipes. So if you find things are drying out over time due to the evaporation of water, you can just sprinkle a little water on them and they are good as new.As mentioned in the title, these are only good for routine cleaning (like brushing your own teeth with a toothbrush). They can not get off tartar or heavy staining – you would need a vet with dental equipment to do that – just like you having to go to the dentist every 6 months to remove tartar etc. But if you are looking for a relatively simple way to clean your dog’s teeth, these are good.
