Huge book of Essential oils and uses
I just got into using Essential oils and decided I needed to find a good book that had the information I needed to know so I wouldn’t have to keep looking it up on my phone all the time .. now I had found several books , but this one seemed like the best choice after reading reviews and looking up information on Valerie ann worwood. So far I’m very happy with it, because it’s full of information that I haven’t seen in other books. Just so you know this book doesn’t have the fancy pictures or the super glossy pages that most people like when it comes to books like this, but honestly I don’t mind, because the lack of pictures means she was able to put more important and interesting information in the book. As you can see in my photos they have a section on cooking with essential oils and a few other pages on ingestible recipes for heath reasons. ..I saw in a review somone didn’t like that because it could be dangerous and yes it can be if you aren’t using food grade essential oils! You can find Food Grade essential oils on Amazon and Im sure at heath food stores. I wouldn’t recommend using Essential oils you buy for defusing or bath products etc etc , because some of those arnt top quality , they have something added to them , or they are fake essential oils ( I have already ran across some of those.😑 ) so if it says do not ingest than I wouldn’t, but that’s up to you and if you want to risk it ! Overall I find this book to be a great reference book and I would recommend it !

great book for every day use
With all the chemicals around us, I decided to look for more natural solutions for every day use and issues. So far I love it.

Filled with great information – But beware when using the animal section
This book does a relatively good job of giving a good overview of everything essential oils/aromatherapy. I will say though that it does not cover everything in detail, but she does have some other books that may delve more into specific areas. It has an index of all the essential oils she talks about (which from what I can tell is essentially every oil you would be able to find, minus maybe a few more obscure oils). I do want to say though that she suggests essential oil blends for animals, which is not necessarily safe. Many animal species have extreme sensitivities to essential oils, so you should never use them directly on your animal, and should use aromatherapy as little as possible around them. More information can be found on the ASPCA website. Other than that concern, I have had very good success with the blends that are in the book, and find that index mentioned earlier to be easy to determine what oils to use in my own blends.

Very comprehensive yet easy to read and find information quickly.
I have a number of essential oil books and this one is a great addition. It’s very comprehensive yet not overwhelming or complicated. I bought this book for a friend who expressed an interest in essential oils and this is great book not only to start with but really all that is needed. Good recipes for a variety of needs.

Caso você seja, farmacêutico, terapeuta, aroma terapeuta ou até mesmo um lojista, compre de olhos fechados, invista, pois o livro é muito completo, têm verdadeiramente tudo que uma entusiasta e até mesmo profissional de longa data, precisa para a carreira nessa área. Para um livro me prender por horas a fio, sem sentir fome, é raro e esse conseguiu, estou simplesmente apaixonado, tanto pela escrita e curadoria da autora a respeito de minucias que envolvem a parte fotoquímica dos compostos até abrangência no campo neurológico o qual engloba nosso sentido primitivo do olfato, que pode fazer maravilhas no cotidiano de nosso tempo hostil. Recomendadíssimo, não têm como não ter! De longe minha melhor aquisição de 2023 nesse campo.
