WORLD’S FIRST HUMAN GRADE DRY DOG FOOD: Most pet food is something called ‘feed grade.’ Whole Food Clusters are the world’s first human grade dry food — made with 100% human grade ingredients and produced in a human food facility. That means higher quality ingredients and more safety standards, just like you’d expect from your own food!
TINY BITES, BIG NUTRITION FOR SMALL BREEDS: This complete and balanced dry dog food was specially created for small breed dogs of all life stages. It includes an extra boost of L-carnitine to help support healthy metabolism as well as an extra boost of Omega fatty acids from salmon oil for skin and coat health.
PREMIUM NUTRITION: Clusters are thoughtfully prepared using human grade muscle meat & liver, low glycemic carbs, beneficial fats & live probiotics; cold pressed into delicious, bite-size, ready-to-eat pieces.
MINIMALLY PROCESSED: Clusters are made by mixing small batches of fresh ingredients, cold pressing them into bite-sized clusters, and then gently slow roasting and dehydrating them to maintain the nutrients, aroma and taste of whole foods.
WE SAY NO TO: This recipe contains no feed grade ingredients, meat meals, fillers, GMO ingredients, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives.

    My pups love it!
I was hesitant to transition to new dog food, but the dog food I was feeding my boys was out of stock everywhere in stores and online for months at a time, and that inconsistency pushed me to find new food. After much research, I decided to try The Honest Kitchen because of their statements and commitment to making exceptional dog food with the highest quality ingredients. They have had only one recall in 2013, which tells the optimistic version of myself that they take quality control very seriously.I have two small breed dogs; one can eat anything without being bothered, while my other baby is much more sensitive and must be cautious when eating new things. After two weeks into the transition process for my sensitive boy, I was concerned that maybe this food wouldn’t work for him, but I’m glad that we stuck it out. Both dogs LOVE mealtime and lick up every last bit of food on this new diet. For what it’s worth: My dogs eat a 50/50 blend of kibble and homemade chicken/veggies/etc. for all meals. Even with their yummy homemade blend, they would leave leftover food in their bowls with the previous kibble. Not anymore. They really love this new food! I’m pleasantly surprised. My one gripe is that the kibble seems a little too big for small dogs that weigh 15 lbs or less. I’m not a scientist or veterinarian; this is just my opinion. I always add hot water to their food to soften the kibble.

A Pawsitively Honest Review of Honest Kitchen Small Breed Dog Food”
For the past seven years, my 13-year-old fur companion, Millie, has been thriving on Honest Kitchen Small Breed Grain-Free products, and you’d never guess her age! It all started when I stumbled upon this canine culinary gem at Kraisers, a pet store in California.Being a dedicated pet parent, I’ve always scrutinized dog food labels, firmly believing that the key to a dog’s longevity lies in the quality of their diet. Unlike some popular, budget-friendly alternatives like Beneful, which Millie enjoyed during dog-sitting sessions with my mom, Honest Kitchen Small Breed has proven to be a game-changer. Although the appeal of sugar-laden options is undeniable, the resulting upset stomach and discomfort were enough to shift our focus.Honest Kitchen’s human-grade ingredients give me peace of mind, and it reflects positively during vet visits when they inquire about Millie’s diet. The satisfaction of knowing that I am providing her with top-notch nutrition is immeasurable.Recently moving in with my boyfriend, whose furry companion struggled with skin allergies, we transitioned his dog to Honest Kitchen. The results were remarkable—no more incessant itching. Even after following the vet’s recommendations of special food and salmon oil, it was Honest Kitchen that truly made a difference. Both Millie and her newfound furry friend are thriving—maintaining a healthy weight, boasting boundless energy, and displaying an eagerness for their Honest Kitchen dinners every evening at 5 pm. The relentless pawing and stares are a testament to their love for this nutritious and delectable canine cuisine. In a world inundated with dog food options, Honest Kitchen Small Breed Grain-Free stands out, not just as a meal but as a source of vitality and joy for our beloved companions.

Elderly Dog LOVES — But Wow, Expensive!
Great taste, at least according to our little 12 lb doggie with ten extracted teeth. But the price! Whee! Too expensive.

Makes great training treats; great weight gainer food
I’ve used Honest Kitchen dehydrated foods for around a decade now – they’re great for travel, adding a bit of variety to food-stuffed toys, or hiding medications – and I’m comfortable enough with the company to have tried these grain free clusters despite them being very carb heavy. My dogs are raw fed and generally don’t get much in the way of carbs except the very small amount they get once or twice a week in the Honest Kitchen base mix. I don’t feed them this food as their diet, but I do use it as training treats. My dogs range in size from 15 to 130 pounds, and they all go wild for this not-kibble, but it is never more than 10% of their daily calories.I’ve purchased the small 1 and 3 pound bags of the large clusters in local pet stores, but this is the same formula just in smaller pieces and a larger bag size. When it went on sale for $45/bag, I bought two bags because my dogs love these “treats” so much.Obviously, having 20 pounds of “treats”It sitting around meant my dogs were getting way more of these treats than other treats, and these clusters definitely did pack some weight on all of my dogs over the course of about ten days, especially my two seniors (who are both still very active.) This would be mostly fine, except that I didn’t add any extra calories to their daily intake and their breath is horrid when it’s normally just unscented hot air like a typical raw fed dog. They also all started eating loads of grass every time we go outside, stool is much softer, and coats dry and gross feeling.I stopped using these as their main treats and went back to dehydrated single protein treats, and their breath, stool, and coats are returning to normal. They do get a few of these treats in their busy boxes or as random rewards while we work on training, but the second unopened bag I bought went to the shelter with me to be added to the enrichment program there. Not a terribly bad food, and great if you’re looking to put weight on a thinner dog, but you just might be disappointed in this particular product if your dogs are raw fed. Three stars because the ingredients list isn’t garbage and my dogs absolutely love these little morsels, but they are a bit pricey and made all of my dogs into smelly beasts.
