We love these socks!
I love these socks! The cushion makes it so soft when on your feet. They are not the cheapest socks, but well worth every dollar for these socks that last me a long time. I don’t use in the summer because they are way too hot. They stay up nice. Not too tight and not too loose.I ended up buying a pair for my boyfriend to try and he loves them. Now he’s hooked, which means spending a little more money on his socks, but now both of us have happy feet!

My Favorite Socks: Color, Comfort, Durability
These are the only socks I now purchase. I have a drawer-full of light gray and these brown ones. There is extra padding at the heels and toes, which helps with comfort and durability; they also absorb perspiration well. They may be more appropriate for cooler weather, because they do tend to keep your feet warm, but I wear them every day regardless. It’s nice they are available in XXL; in the morning, when the “T. rex syndrome” really manifests itself, having socks that slip on easily is much appreciated by this 81-year-old.

Nice cushioned socks but misleading “pewter” image online
These socks have lots of cushioning in the soles – ideal for hiking. But the “pewter” color shown on the Amazon site is wrong. The pewter socks almost look khaki online but the actual color is a dark gray.

I’m a long time fan of Thorlon socks. But these seem a bit bulky, not as form-fitting as other Thorlon socks, and they seem to shed (wear) rather quickly. Time will tell on the wear issue. But I like the dark color, especially when wearing navy blue chinos to work (college teacher) with my Nike Shox (great shoes when standing for several hours and the students think the shoes are cool).(01/19/2009)It’s been at least 18 months since I bought my first pair and they have held up very well to frequent use. They seem to be more durable than other socks from the same company. The black color has faded a bit, but that does not matter since I use them for casual wear. I’d give them five stars if I could figure out how to change that part of my older rating.(06/19/2010)I am still wearing the first pair, and others bought since then, on an almost daily basis. They just keep on being good, comfortable, and durable socks. No holes, no thin spots, and they still fit tightly and stay up all day. The fading slowed and stopped and I’ve come to like the slightly faded look now. I’m about to order more, not because any wore out but because my sons have “borrowed” several pair.

I am finally wearing out the Thorlo socks I bought in 1995! These seem remarkable similar and I expect the same performance.

Got a couple of pairs of these socks from GoOutdoors but doesnât appear they sell them anymore. Should found them on Amazon. I like these socks cos as Iâm not keen on wool as it itches me and these are the thickest made made yarn socks Iâve come across. Very comfortable, no blisters. Iâve done Yorkshire 3 Peaks and National 3 Peaks in these socks and no problem, even in bad weather when the water is running down your legs into your boots!
