These are on a whole other level than regular peanuts. Very crunchy and the flavor is amazing. Just buy them you will be very glad! Also makes great brittle and cookies!

Not salty enough and somewhat bland
I had hoped that in spending more money, I would get the flavorful peanuts that tasted like the peanuts we used to be able to buy. These were fresh but lacked enough salt to bring out the flavor. I wish they would make a “more salt” and “less salt” option for those of us that prefer that old original salty peanut that we grew up eating. FYI my dogs love them, they get a few every night as a treat, so they are not totally going to waste.

Peanuts at their best!
These peanuts are delicious. Perfectly salted and a great chew, so suit me perfectly. As a child, my Dad would sit in his big chair in front of the tv with a pile of nuts in their shells. My favories were the peanuts because after the shells were removed, there were some red skins still on them, which loved, and these peanuts bring back those happy memories.UPDATE: The second can had hardly any skins. The title is deceiving. I expect all peanuts in the can to have skins, but the majority do not. The tiitle should be changed to ‘some redskin.”

They are large and super crunch but why are they tasteless? Of course I ordered unsalted but any variety of peanut should have some natural sweetness. May be because of some processing that element is gone?

What used to be ‘fabulous’ is now just ‘mediocre’.
I live in VA and have been buying salted Virginia nuts from VA Diner for over 40 years. When traveling thru that part of the state on business, colleagues from work get me to stop by the VA Diner, and purchase nuts for them. It was not unusual for me to bring back 40, or more, 2 1/2 pound cans. These were always jumbo sized nuts and very salted, which is what you want in a ‘salted’ nut.I recently purchased some thru Amazon and was totally disappointed in the product I received. The nuts were really small, and there was NO salt, although clearly marked as ‘salted’. Amazon will not allow me to return them, I suppose because they are a food product.I’m really not happy about this. When I first started buying these nuts, they were something like $3.70 for the 2 1/2 pound can. Now, the size has shrunk (2 lbs 4 oz vs. 2 lbs 8 oz). Now, I have the privilege of paying over $28 for less peanuts, of a lesser quality with no Salt.I expect this will be my last purchase from VA Diner. Now, their product is no better than anyone else’s.
