    The Perfect Blend of Science and Real World Application
    As someone who is always skeptical about health and fitness books, I found The Wellness Toolbox to be a refreshing change from the monotony of what other books are offering.Many books in this realm drone on about various studies with no real explanation about how these studies may apply to the reader. Other books dabble in pseudoscience while attempting to appeal to the reader directly. The Wellness Toolbox does a fantastic job of exploring many of the myths in the fitness industry….debunking them… then showing the reader how this applies to them.The application of the author’s tools has helped his clients directly and he cites them as examples. I guarantee anyone reading this book at more than one point say “Oh! That’s Me!”Consider this book as an actual tool for achieving sound, sustainable fitness. I am impressed.Now if you will excuse me…I am off to buy some backstrap molasses.Coach TJ Quinn

    Great book on Fitness & Nutrition
    I found Don Robert’s book to be very informative. Strength training does get my heart rate up and people forget about this. I was raised to believe that cardio was the best way to get into shape, but then I would get burned out from a one hour class after a while and stop exercising all together. Don’s book tells a whole different story – I like the idea of a 13-minute workout. Actually 30 minutes seems perfect for me – but if I’m short on time, 13 minutes is beneficial as well – as they say some sort of exercise is better than nothing.The nutritional section was interesting, I like (and agree with) his food pyramid. And I enjoyed his personal stories. Great book I will refer to it time and time again whenever I need some motivation or I just need to get back on track.

I was not disappointed, as Don offers lots of excellent fitness and nutrition recommendations baked up by his extensive career. Don focuses on the importance of weight training and nutrition.     A worthwhile read.
    It is my opinion that Don’s “Wellness Toolbox” should be required reading beginning in high school. It clearly and in simple prose, presents a lifetime plan on how to remain healthy. It is a worthwhile read.

    Wellness Toolbox is packed full of valuable information. Well written with an easy to follow format. This book is an excellent reference guide for exercise, and nutrition, among other things. I enjoyed Don’s personal stories too!
