Works well, more comfortable for patients
I like that the penlight has a warmer color that is not as jarring to patients when looking into their eyes, as many other brands use a harsh white bulb. Also, the intensity of the light is consistent, instead of brighter in the middle and dimmer at the edges of the light field like many other options. Worth the extra few dollars of investment since it seems this is the only penlight I’ll need. Also seems like good build quality, I’ve wiped it with clinical sanitizing wipes without a problem.

The other week, my Echo Dot sounded off asking me to rate this. And so, because I knew I only had seconds to respond (before it went back to sleep), I basically blurted, “I give it four stars!” But then not so long later, I realized it in fact is worthy of 5 stars on account of it being a quality item sold at a very reasonable price. (And, btw, its main purpose for me is to remove eyelashes and other bits of junk (that float in the air) from my eyeballs, which works very well as the light is on the soft, warm and pleasant side.)

Excellent penlight!
This light is a phenomenal tool to add to your rotation. It isn’t excessively bright like its white LED counterparts, and a more accurate real color value, in my opinion. The one MAJOR thing that I’ve noticed with this light is that patients do now reflexively close their eyes when checking for PERRLA. Solid construction

Very incandescent yellow, but very wide angle beam
The one star off is due to the wide beam. The color-temperature is wonderful if you like incandescent colored light. The product description said: “Perfect Pen Light – for Inspection Reading Work Repair.” I assumed the key word ‘inspection’ meant a narrow angle beam, like the Coast G20 Inspection Beam Penlight (on Amazon). This is basically room-wide in the beam angle; too wide to actually say a number. But it does very well light what is right in front of it. It’s just the people around you will be illuminated too, unless you hold the penlight close to the target.UPDATE: This has become my #1 penlight, due to the wonderful warm yellow light. I can put up with the very wide beam. Also, it is plenty bright.There are two more points: 1) The on-off button is very solid and does not ‘move around’ like all other button style penlights I’ve owned. It seems like it will last a long time. 2) Call this an unadvertised special: There are three (3!) points on the penlight for the clip. There are three indented areas; one at each end and one in the middle (I’ve never seen this). As I’m a ‘mouth user,’ I have the clip at the light end. This penlight is comfortable in the mouth, compared to most others.

This little light of mine…
I’m an airline cabin crew member and needed a pen light for late night flights where we turn the lights down quite low after takeoff but still have a beverage service to do in main cabin. I had one that, although it was small, was far too bright when I would click it on to look inside the cart. It was a bright LED and lit up the surrounding area like a UFO attack. Finally occurred to me to buy this type of medical pen light and I couldn’t be happier. The light is a warm soft yellow, and it only lights up whatever small area I need. This particular model is incredibly well built so it should last for years. Could not be happier with this purchase!

Beautiful little light
I use this little beauty to look at gemstones. The beautiful warm 3000k hi cri beam just brings out all the colors. It’s also very small and easy to handle, and takes good old AAA batteries. Also the beam is perfectly uniform with no artifacts. A perfect inspection light. Build is great of course.
