Honest Consumer –
Perfect.
This is great. I only eat a can or two a week for the omega 3’s but it’s a safe and reliable form of salmon. Delish.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Wild Planet products, & this salmon is so good.
SO GOOD. I eat it direct from can. It has such a good flavor and texture. I love salmon, but some brands I have to do something with it to make it appetizing (ie salmon patties). But this? nah, I want it as original in form from the can as possible. I love love love it. I also happen to be long time fan of Wild Planet products– all of them. I buy sardines, and their tuna, and tuna ready to eat meals.. whatever they have I eat it. The salmon though.. it was an impulse purchase. I already have a slew of salmon in my pantry. But I hadnt yet had Wild Planet wild salmon, and OMG I am in love. When I open the can, I note that it has some liquid on top. After I dump it out and separate out the pieces, there really isnt much liquid at all. There may not look like there is much meat in the can, but that is because the pieces are well clumped together. Once I break them apart, the volume expands.Flavor is not fishy. More chicken-esque but not a canned flavor exactly. Fresh tasting all considered. I really like it over a lot of the big can brands. I just love this one so much that I am making myself crave it as I write this review. Will be what I am having for breakfast!!Salty but not too salty. I love having it alongside a bunch of steamed broccoli. I dont add anything to the broccoli and instead use the salmon as the flavoring, for that hint of salty.

So glad there’s unsalted salmon!
This salmon tastes just fine. My only comment is that I wish Wild Planet would make a canned salmon WITH skin and bone and WITHOUT added salt. I would like the nutrition found in the skin and bone but can’t eat salted food.

fishy fish ugh !
i am extremely disappointed with the taste (and consistency) of this salmon. to me, its more of a bargain basement, scrape the sides of the mediocre catch salmon tank and pack it up… to eat it and not barf, i’m going to have to stir in lots of chunky salsa to (yuck) kill the ‘off’ taste… trust me,, i am NOT a princess in an ivory tower gourmet !! … its just this salmon is AWFUL !!! .. sigh…

False product information and I want to return!

I have never opened a can of Salmon that looks like this. Wild salmon is naturally pink, this is not. The texture is minced, poor taste. I thought it was supposed to be Wild Alaskan Pink Salmon caught off the shores of Alaska. There is no indication on the can of where this fish even comes from. Pink Salmon with salt produced for Wild Planet Foods Inc. California. The labels do not even cover the height of the can, which would indicate to me it’s mass canned for numerous retailers. Huge disappointment, and remember this is a non-returnable item. On the upside, we have four cats.
