Nicely Carved Runes
This pack of witches runes is nicely carved with small natural wood details on a black wooden base. They come with a guidebook and a small velvet pouch and arrive gift worthy

Decent basic set!
These are a decent basic/cheap set of ruins. They’re thin wooden discs that are painted/stained and have the ruins engraved on them. They’re not bad quality for the price. The booklet explains the ruins and their meanings but doesn’t give much information on how to use them. I’m not mad about that, as many practitioners are going to have their own way of using ruins and a booklet with one path may create more issues than fix them. These are a nice starter set for new practitioners or people on a budget. They’ve been a great addition to my practice and I’m plenty happy with them.

Junk, not a real divination tool
(Review of Wooden Witch Runes Set)This runes set feels more like a novelty than a real divination tool. It reminds me of one of those mini boxes they sold near the bookstore checkstands in the early 2000s – remember those? Mini zen gardens, mini gemstones, and the like? Those were little junk toys and so is this runes set.The symbols on the runes are poorly designed and look sloppy, and the descriptions in the booklet are even worse. The (very thin) wood pieces look and feel like cheap ply that has been stained and cut on a CNC machine, you can even see the machine marks along all the cuts. The bag is probably about the nicest thing about the whole set. It could be fun to give this set to kids and let them play make believe, but to me these don’t feel appropriate for actual spiritual / ritualistic use.In my opinion, this set is a cheaply-executed way to capitalize on a tradition that actually holds real spiritual and/or religious significance for some people.

Pleased With The Runes ⢠4.5 Stars
I was pleased with this set – the runes are engraved not just printed on the wood. The symbols are clear and the decorative scrolling attractive.The included booklet is better than most, with practical advice for use as well as the usual symbol meaning/basic instruction.The drawstring ends of the bag have been sealed for a finished look.If they do another run of this set I hope they use the same booklet format and text but go without the illustrated background because it makes it difficult to read in places.Overall – I think this is a great set to use by itself or with Elder Futhark and tarot tiles.

I wish it were better
I really like the idea here and I think it’s a fun novelty gift. However they are so light it just kind of ruins it for me. I have had runes before and really enjoyed them, but this set is made out of a really light wood so they just don’t feel good in your hands. Most runes I have used in the past have either been stone or they have had a bit of weight to them which really makes them feel important and connected. These just don’t do that for me. Also because they are basically pressed particle board it loses something “natural” too which feels like an important part of most rituals. I do think they are pretty but I really would not have gotten these knowing the quality and material used. Definitely not worth it for me and you can find way better quality for the same price. This isn’t it.

Cute novelty runes
I think this is more for show for people that like the aesthetic more so than actual practice. I know wood can be used for certain paths but I think it needs to be solid wood, with types mattering, instead of plywood. The wood was very simple and light weight with etched designs. The color seemed nice and strong and it comes with a booklet and a soft bag with the symbols on the outside.

Very fun and cool set
This would make a really awesome Halloween gift. It’s really well made and beautiful, and it comes in a lovely box and velvet bag. It comes with instructions on how to read these. Unique and fun!
