My little Egyptologist loved it
I bought this for my niece’s 9th birthday. She was stoked to receive it! She was even more excited to do the digging. We worked on it for about 3 hours. The wooden tools provided quickly became dull. All of the items were clustered in the center of the pyramid. We had to break out a metal chisel and a real hammer to remove the excess material from the corners. Then she was able to use the provided tools to chip away the smaller bits and wiggle the treasures out. Small pieces broke off of 2 of the items but we explained that this happens in archeology and glued them back together. The whole process was quite messy but it’s now a treasured memory. I would highly recommend this for any aspiring archeologists.

This was a great Bday gift for our Egyptian history buff. Only complaint is 2 of the pieces broke while digging. It says to be careful, and they mean it!

My 9 year old daughter was very excited about this gift. She enjoyed digging and finding the gems however there was only 5 gems out of the 18 gems that are stated to be in the rock.

I bought this just because i love archeology and ancient Egypt and for the little collectible you get. It comes very nicely packaged with a booklet of what you are getting. The dig is quite time consuming i will say because itâs quite hard so you may need to soften it in water (which i did by the end because my hands were hurting) but itâs fun overall. Some of the paint on the collectibles chipped off so be careful while running them under water. One of them broke when i was trying to dig it out. I even got two amethysts instead of just one.
