What to Watch on Disney+ in February 2025

Although the volume of content isn’t comparable to other streaming services, Disney+ is still worthwhile for fans of particular franchises and studios. This upcoming month sees the debut of Win or Lose, which is kind of a big deal as the first series to come from Pixar. The rest of the month also looks good, with new animation, documentaries, and more. Here are our picks for the best of February on Disney+.

The Lion King At The Hollywood Bowl (Feb. 7)

It’s wild to think that The Lion King came out 30 years ago, but time is a harsh mistress. One of the most iconic Disney animated films of the 90s has seen live-action remakes and spin-offs, as well as an extremely popular live performance of its songs. This lush and evocative production blends the tunes of the original movie, the mega-hit Broadway musical, and the 2019 and 2024 live-action films together.

Harlem Ice (Feb. 12)

One of the most demanding winter sports there is, figure skating requires incredible precision and body control night after night. The five-part documentary series Harlem Ice follows the coaches and skaters of a Harlem-based figure skating team as they go through the season and compete on the global stage. It looks like it’s going to be both exhilarating and stressful.

Win Or Lose (Feb. 19)

Pixar is making its first step into the serialized storytelling world with a streaming show on Disney+. Win Or Lose is a sports dramedy about a middle school softball team getting ready for their championship game. Each of the 20-minute episodes is told through the perspective of a different character, bringing a sort of Rashomon vibe that seems very fun. The cast includes Will Forte, Jo Firestone, Lil Rel Howery, and more.
